14 Weeks!!

This is my 14th week of pregnancy!! This week my allergies have been acting up again, so it has had me down and I have also had bouts of nauseousness again this week. I really hope that this lets up soon! I have been feeling pretty good otherwise. I am just waiting to get my energy back. I am actually starting to look pregnant. My belly is starting to round out more than just being this little bulge in my lower stomach. :) My stomach is starting to get a little harder now than it was and it is all so exciting!! Before long I will be able to feel this little one kick! I cannot wait! I am also counting down the days till I find out what this little one is....38 days to be exact! :) I have gained 4 pounds since I went to the doctor. When I went to the doctor I weighed 115 and when I weighed on Thursday I weighed 119. So far I have gained 7 pounds, which I guess is normal for 14 weeks! Anyway, here are my 14 week photos!!

My "other baby" was just dying for me to pick him up while Nick was trying to take pictures so I figured that I should take a picture with him. He is mybaby and he is going to be so jealous when this little one arrives.

Here are just a couple of photos of some things we have got so far....My mom bought this cute little UK outfit! We have to start this little one out right! :) I found the UK bib and pacifiers and I had to have them. We also went to babies r us and they were having a sale so we picked up a couple of little outfits that would work for a baby boy or baby girl! I thought they were adorable. I thought that I would share these with you. I will try to add a few photos of things that we have received as I go.

Well I guess that is all for now. Love you all. Nick, Amy and Winston :)

13 Weeks!!!

Second Trimester Finally!!! I have been waiting for this moment because I don't seem to worry (as much) as I did my first few weeks! This is a milestone! Time continues to fly by. I have a had a rough start to the week. On Monday night, I went to bed very sick at my stomach. Then Tuesday morning came. I had to get up earlier than usual for an early meeting. I got up out of bed and got ready for work. I was almost ready to leave when I told Nick that I wasn't feeling well. I sat down on the bed hoping it would pass. Nick rubbed my back trying to get me to relax and hoping it would make me feel better, but it did not work. I ran to the bathroom and started dry heaving to the point it was very painful. I was crying of course and was burning up and sweating. Nick went and got our floor fan and plugged it up in the bathroom so it would cool me off. Nick said that he felt so sorry for me, but you know even though I felt horrible, I wouldn't trade it for the world because it will all be worth it in the end. I am just thankful that I have not been really sick like some girls that I know.

Anyway here are my 13 week photos:

I feel like I haven't grown a whole lot in the last week, but every one seems to think otherwise. :) I am sure I have. It is amazing to read about how fast this little one is growing. I read about all the changes that happens each week. It fascinates me. According to what I have read: The baby is already very active at this point (although I cannot feel it yet). I have felt a couple of flutters and I thought that it was all in my head but it has happened more than once so I am beginning to wonder. I also read that the baby has developed some interesting reflexes: touching the eyelid will make the eye muscles close, touching it's palm will make the hand close and tickling the bottom of its foot will make the toes curl. The baby's muscles lengthen and become organized leading to stronger kicks!! I cannot wait to feel that first kick! :) I love reading about all the growing this little one is doing. Isn't God amazing?!?

I hope to take some photo's of the things we have got so far and get those pictures posted. I guess that is all for now. Thank you to all of you that are following us through this amazing journey and thank you for the sweet comments those of you have made. I hope to share this journey with our little one when it gets older and show them how loved they were before they were born.

Love you all.

12 Weeks and Doctor Update!!!

Wow...here we are at 12 weeks! I will officially be in my second trimester at the end of this week. I keep getting bigger every week! We are finally moved into our brand new home and we are loving every minute of it. I just cannot wait to get the baby's nursery all set up and ready to go when this little one arrives. Time keeps flying by so fast. At times I want it to be November so that I can meet this little one, but then again I want time to slow down because these 9 months are going to go by so fast that I want to enjoy every minute of it. I have really enjoyed being pregnant so far even though I still have a long way to go. In the beginning I worried so much, afraid something was going to go wrong. My family finally made me realize that I needed to stop worrying over things I had no control over and enjoy every minute so that is what I have been doing because this time is precious and you will never get it back. I have stopped worrying so much, even though I will worry a little until I hold this little miracle in my arms. :) I think all women worry at some point in time during their pregnancy. You cannot help it. It is just natural. I am just enjoying being pregnant and I have put all my trust and faith in God that he will take care of me and this baby. I am so thankful to have a great pregnancy so far.

Anyway on with what everyone is waiting for.... here are my 12 week photos!!

My husband really noticed my belly the other day and made a comment about it. I think it was more like...."Hey there fatty!" I just laughed at him. He was just joking but if he says that to me in a couple of months he might get hurt :) He told me the other day that I look even more beautiful now. I am thankful to have a husband who tells me how beautiful he thinks I am no matter what. I am going to need that when I get huge! j/k :) I am so lucky to have him.

Yesterday we went back to the doctor and I was so excited!! Everything looks great so far and I have gained 3 pounds!! WHOO HOO!! My blood pressure is great as well. We talked to the doctor for a couple of minutes then she got the doppler out and placed it on my belly. Right away we heard the little heartbeat!! It is the best sound in the world! It is so amazing. I go back to the doctor in 5 weeks and then we go on June 30th to find out what this little one is! We can't wait!
I will leave you with this poem that my mom sent me that brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sending this to me: It is called...
MY DAUGHTER YOU WILL SEE

When you were just a baby, and I looked into your eyes,
I loved you more, my little one, than you could realize.
To hold my precious little girl, and see your little face,
I had been blessed beyond compare, with God's own loving grace.
He gave you to me, and I love you more than you could know,
A love that is so special, and all mothers know it's so.
A mother's love is endless, and will last eternity,
But children do not understand, how much love that can be.
A special love that mother's have, and only they can show,
And only when you are a mother, can you truly know.
To love so much a little one, that is a part of you,
A part of you to love and cherish, mothers know it's true.
You watch them grow, and hope that they have prospered in your care,
Because your love and understanding, constantly was there.
They never fully understand, the love that you have shown,
Until they reach a stage in life, when they are fully grown.
So now my precious daughter, as your day is drawing near,
You have so much excitement, and a little bit of fear.
Your little one is on the way, and soon it will arrive,
And when it does, I will be there, standing by your side.
I want to see your smiling face, and feel your inner glow,
When you hold your little one, and then you'll finally know,
How very much I love you, because you are part of me,
And when you hold your little one, then you will finally see.
A mother's love is special, and you'll finally understand,
When you hold the fingers, of your baby's little hand.
So precious and so delicate, and feelings that are new,
And then my precious daughter, you'll know how much I love you.

I love this poem and it brings tears to my eyes everytime I read it. I guess that is all for this week. Thank you for those who follow this blog. I really appreciate it. Love you all.

11 weeks!!

Time seems to be flying by....maybe it is because we have been so busy lately with the move. I am now 11 weeks!! I have been feeling great, except for this past Monday. I got up and felt good.
I got in the shower to get ready for work and as soon as I got out of the shower and started putting my clothes on, I had this feeling come over me and all I could think was "uh oh" and I started dry heaving. It wouldn't stop. Normally I would do it once or twice and then be fine. This time I didn't think it would stop. I did not have anything on my stomach so I didn't actually get sick, but it was horrible. I yelled for Nick and he came in there and just rubbed my back until I felt better. After that, I was just fine.

Anyway, here are my 11 week photos. I also wanted everyone to know that people have been telling me that they are unable to comment on my blogs and that they keep getting an error when they try. My mom figured out how to get it to post. When you go to leave a comment and you try and post and it gives you an error click post comment again and it should post. If that still doesn't work let me know and we will try and figure something out.

I can tell as each week passes I get a little bigger. I know that is what is suppose to happen, but I look forward to seeing my "baby bump" grow. :) I cannot wait. It will not be to much longer and we can find out what this little one is! Everyone seems to think it is a girl, but my mom and I think it is a boy. We will have to wait and see! We go back to the doctor on Tuesday and I cannot wait!! I will have an update and our 12 week photo. So check back on Tuesday!! I guess that is all for now! Next time I blog we will be in our new house and almost in my 2nd Trimester!! So exciting!! Keep checking back for updates!

Love you all,
Nick and Amy
