35 Weeks!!!

Oh my goodness!! 35 weeks and counting !! Olivia will be here before we know it!! For some reason I have a feeling she might be here sooner than expected, but we will just wait and see.  I have been having lots of Braxton Hicks and lots of cramping along with those wonderful sensations!!  The other night my lower back was hurting so bad I thought that I was going to have to call the doctor because I was getting pretty worried about it. Thankfully it eased up some and I was able to get some sleep.

I have been a cleaning machine these past few days.  I have been organizing, washing up the outfits she has received recently, and cleaning all my baseboards, cabinets, etc.  I cannot stop cleaning.  I am trying to refrain totally cleaning my house from top to bottom until right before she is suppose to arrive but I cannot help myself.

This week she is about the size of a coconut.  Her hearing is fully developed and responds to high pitch noises.  Her kidneys are fully developed now and her liver can process some waste products.

Pregnancy Highlights

How far along? 35 weeks, 5 days

Size of Baby?  This week she is about the size of a coconut and approximately 17.2 - 18.7 inches and anywhere from 4.2-5.8 pounds.
Weight Gain/Loss?    I have not gained any weight so far this week.

Maternity Clothes?  Yes all the time.

Gender? IT'S A GIRL! Olivia Kate!

Movement?   She is still so active.  I thought that by this point in pregnancy her movements would have slowed down some, but they have not.  She moves around and pushes in my side and ribs and let me just say that while I love all these movements sometime those sweet little movements can get pretty painful!

Food Craving? I was craving something sweet and pumpkin bread sounded amazing! So I made pumpkin bread and it was the best I have ever had! :) I am also craving Chinese food!!

Sleep?  Still sleeping really good!! I do have trouble falling asleep if I have heartburn or I am sick at my stomach but other than that sleep is still coming pretty easy.

Symptoms?  I find that I get sick at my stomach at times.  I am not sure if this is from her pushing into my stomach or if my morning sickness is starting to come back more and more in these last few weeks.  I am still having Braxton Hicks, cramping and horrible lower back pain.

Here are my 35 week photos!

I have mine and Olivia's bags packed just in case she decides to come early.  I am hoping she holds off a couple more weeks but with some of the pains I have been having there are times that I am not so sure!! I go back to the doctor next week so be sure to check back for updates!!

34 Weeks and Doctor Update!!!

Well here we are another week closer to our baby girl's arrival!! We are so excited to meet our baby girl!! At this point, she is still very active and has the hiccups all the time! Poor thing!

We had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday and everything was great!  This was a quick appointment for just a measurement and to listen to the baby.  My blood pressure was great, 110/60 and I weighed in at 147.  Her heart rate was great and I am measuring at almost 32 weeks.  I am still measuring a little smaller but she said that was nothing to be concerned about. Only two more appointments before we meet our little girl, unless she decides to come sooner!

This week I had a little accident.  I fell down the stairs.  I went upstairs to do something and I was coming back down and fell from about 5 stairs up.  Thankfully I had just stripped the sheets off the master bed and took all the blankets and threw them at the bottom of the stairs to wash them and that seem to cushion my fall somewhat. My ankle popped and I could not walk right away so I had to scoot all the way through the bedroom to get my phone.  I was so sore for the next few days and I have a pretty good knot and a scrape on my knee with a huge bruise but thankfully it was not any worse.  Needless to say I am banned from the stairs until after the baby is born.

Best Moment this week?  Going to the doctor and hearing our sweet baby girl's heartbeat.  That is one sound you never get tired of hearing.  Also, we recieved some adorable gifts for Miss Olivia this week!

Gender? IT'S A GIRL! Olivia Kate!

Movement?   Yes!! All the time!! She moves around all hours of the day.  She is a very active little girl!

Food Craving? Nothing much at this point in pregnancy.

What I miss?  I know that I say this everytime but I still do not miss anything at this point besides feeling normal.  I love being pregnant but I am looking forward to holding my baby girl and finally feeling normal again.  Here lately I have so many aches and pains that I feel like I am 80 years old! LOL

Sleep?  Sleeping really well.  Sleep sounds so good all the time now! I have been falling asleep pretty easy, unless I have heartburn which is quite a bit these days!

Symptoms?  Braxton Hicks, hot all the time, heartburn, morning sickness returns every once in a while but it is just the nauseouness, slight swelling, and the lovely aches and pains.

33 Weeks!!!

Another week has flown by! It seems like the second half of this pregnancy went by so quickly!! We have been busy working a to do list before Olivia arrives.  Nick has put everything together and I believe we have everything ready to go.

Miss Olivia is just as active as ever!! Her movements have not seemed to slow down much at all.  She moves around all the time and it is starting to get a little painful at times! :) I have been having quite a few Braxton Hicks here lately as well. Other than the aches and pains I feel pretty good for the most part.  I am pretty exhausted by the end of the day but I guess that is to be expected.

I read that this week her bones are hardening and she is going through more major brain development!  She is also keeping her eyes open while she is awake and is starting to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing.

Size of Baby?   This week she weighs as much as a pineapple and is more than 17 inches, head to heel.

Weight Gain/Loss? About a pound

Maternity Clothes?  Yes, all the time!

Best Moment this week?  We always talk to Brayden about his baby sister.  You can tell him to give sissy kisses and he runs over to me and kisses my belly.  It is so sweet.  He will also hug on her and tell her he loves her. We talk about what we are going to do when she arrives. I ask him if he is going to love on her, feed her, give her a paci, etc.  Well this week I ask him if he was going to rock sissy.  And he would say, "rock sissy." I showed him how to rock a baby and now when we ask him how he is going to rock sissy, he will fold his little arms up and say "rocky, rocky."  He is so sweet and he is going to be an excellent big brother and I know Olivia will just love him to pieces!!

Here is the video of Brayden showing how he is going to rock his sissy!

Sleep?  Still sleeping really well.  I am surprised that I have not started losing sleep at this point in pregnancy but I am not complaining!!

Symptoms?  My hands and feet tingle all the time.  I have "baby brain" all the time and I am so clumsy these days!  I am also so hot all the time and I cannot get cooled off anymore!  I am also still having lots of aches and pains and those lovely Braxton Hicks contractions!

Olivia's Nursery Reveal....

Olivia's nursery is finished.....I think! We have had her nursery done for a while but I have been organizing and washing, ironing and folding clothes and putting everything in it's place.  I am pretty happy with her room and I cannot wait for her to be here!!!

The nursery freshly painted!

I love how this color turned out!

Her letters I made.  I seen some that I wanted but they were going to cost $70 so I decided to just be creative and make them myself!

Her bow holder that I also made.  It is made from an old frame that belonged to my Granny so it makes it even that more special.

The birdhouses that I painted and put details on the top of them.  I thought they turned out pretty cute!

Her crib

I love her bedding!

The wall hangings that I made to go above her dresser.  I got this idea from Pinterest!! I love that site!

Her closet!

And finally her BOWS!! :)

I am so excited for her arrival.  I am looking forward to having a little boy and now a little girl!! We will go into her room and Brayden will automatically start saying "It's Sissy's."   He doesn't completely understand what is getting ready to happen but I do know that Brayden is going to be such a great big brother and I cannot wait to see him with her.

32 Weeks and Doctor's Appointment!!!

Here we are another week closer to meeting our baby girl!! Where in the world is time going??  It is so hard to believe that we will be meeting our baby girl in about 6 weeks!!!  It seems unbelievable! We are all so excited to meet Miss Olivia Kate!! She is so loved already!

Her room is complete and all her clothes are washed and put away.  I still have to sanitize and wash all the bottles, pacis, etc and Nick needs to put a couple more things together and get her new car seat in the car and I think we will be good to go!! So exciting!!

I am still feeling really good. Still having the regular aches and pains and some stronger Braxton Hicks but I am hanging in there! So far I have yet to receive any of those lovely stretch marks!!  I never received any with Brayden so I hope that I can manage to get through this pregnancy without any. :)

We had a doctors appointment on Wednesday with an ultrasound.  We were so excited to see our baby girl again!! However we were somewhat disappointment that we did not get really good pictures of her this time around.  Poor thing had her little face smashed right up against the placenta.  The tech was laughing at her because she would not move and her poor little nose looked smashed!  LOL.  Oh well, at least we know she is healthy and that is all that matters!  She now weighs 4 pounds and 1 ounce which is a little smaller than what her big brother weighed at this time of pregnancy.  Her heart rate was great, 142 bpm! The tech got all the measurements she needed and everything looked great!  She is in the head down position which probably explains why I feel her little feet pushing in my ribs all the time and let me tell you that can get pretty painful!

After our ultrasound we seen the doctor.  My blood pressure was great, 110/63 and I am actually measuring 30 weeks even though I am almost 33 weeks.  The doctor was not concerned at all.  We go back to see her in two weeks!

Even though these are not great pictures I wanted to go ahead and share just a couple of her ultrasound pictures.

I read that this week she is busy blinking, looking around, grabbing at things, making faces, practicing her breathing and listening to everything around her.  She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair. Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.  I cannot wait to see what she looks like!!

How far along? 32 weeks, 6 days

Size of Baby?  Olivia now weighs 4 pounds and 1 ounce! She is growing more and more each week.

Weight Gain/Loss?    I currently weigh 144.  I have gained 29 pounds which seems like alot but I started out right at 115 so think that I could stand to put on a pound or two, especially for this sweet little girl!
Maternity Clothes?  Yes besides some shirts and PJ's

Best Moment this week?  Seeing our baby girl again!!  We cannot wait to meet her!!
Gender? IT'S A GIRL! Olivia Kate!

Movement?   She is still moving like crazy!! I thought around this time she would start to run out of room but she is still kicking up a storm!  I love to just sit back and watch my whole belly move!!  She loves to put her little feet in my ribs and that is pretty uncomfortable but I do love to see that tiny little foot move across my belly!! It is so amazing to watch!!

Food Craving? No real cravings here lately.

What I miss? Nothing much at this time.  I am just ready for our baby girl to be here.  I love being pregnant but I am also ready to feel like myself again.

Sleep?  I am still sleeping pretty good however, I have noticed that I have started waking up throughout the night and it takes me forever to get back to sleep.

Symptoms?  Heartburn, Braxton Hicks, aches and pains, some nausea, some slight swelling in my feet and hands, exhaustion, etc! :)

Here are my 32 week photos!

Hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy this beautiful weather!!

Olivia's Baby Shower

My mom had small little shower for Olivia and I at her house this past weekend.  She wanted to do something for her as well since she did something for Brayden.  It was just my immediate family and it was a great time!!

The Owl cake my mom made.

My mom made this Diaper Wreath.....

and she made this ADORABLE motorcycle out of diapers!! It is so cute and I just might not take it apart!

She even had it personalized!

Opening some of the gifts....

Olivia got several great gifts!  I really enjoyed the day filled with good food and great company all to celebrate our sweet baby girl!  Thanks again for the great day!!

31 Weeks!!!

31 weeks already?? I feel like I cannot keep up because the weeks are passing by so quickly! Olivia continues to grow and is just as active as ever! She continues to move around like crazy so much so that when she is quiet I start to panic because that is not like her at all. She is constantly kicking, punching and doing somersaults! Her brother moved around a lot but I am beginning to think she is more active than her brother was.  There is not a certain time of day she is more active because she is moving all the time.  She does not keep me up during the night but if I happen to wake up to go to the bathroom or because of a dream that I was having she will usually start moving as I am trying to get back to sleep. I sure hope she loves her sleep like her big brother. :)
As of this week all five of her sense's are fully developed! This week she measures over 16 inches long and weighs approximately 3.3 pounds. She can turn her head from side to side and her arms, legs and body are beginning to plump out as fat accumulated under her skin.  By now, her lung's are the only system that is not fully mature.  From this week on she will continue to gain around 1/2 pound a week until shortly before birth.
I have a doctor's appointment next week along with an ultrasound.  We are so excited to see our baby girl again and see what she looks like and how big she is!  It will not be long and she will be here for us to hold and love on and we cannot wait!!

Pregnancy Highlights
How far along?  31 weeks 5 days

Size of Baby?   This week Olivia is about the size of a pineapple measuring between 15.2 and 16.7 inches long and weighs about 2.5 to 3.3 pounds!

Weight Gain/Loss?    I have not showing that I have gained any weight this week.  I go to the doctor next week so I will get a better idea of the weight gain.

Maternity Clothes?  Yes besides my pajamas and a few tops here and there.

Best Moment this week?  Brayden and I spent some time with Mammie this week shopping for Olivia.  Brayden will now pick up something and you ask him who it belongs to and he will say
"sissy."  Well, we were in a store this week and he picked up some shoes and he said "These are for sissy."  That little boy sure melts my heart! He is going to love on his sissy and be the best big brother ever to his little sister.  I cannot wait!

Gender? IT'S A GIRL! Olivia Kate!

Movement?   This baby girl moves all the time!!

Food Craving?  I am not having any certain cravings here lately.  Just everything in general sounds so good!

What I miss? Nothing at this point!

Sleep? I am still sleeping really well although I am staying exhausted no matter how much sleep I get.

Symptoms?  I am having some slight swelling in just my hands and feet.  I am not able to wear my wedding rings because they are so hard to get off and I am afraid one of these days they will not want to come off!  I also have to pee all the time!! She loves to push right on my bladder. I am still pretty exhausted at times and I am having a little morning sickness but it is still usually all at night.  I also have started having those lovely braxton hicks contractions and boy some of them can get pretty uncomfortable! My back is constantly hurting now as well but thankfully my sweet husband rubs my back anytime I need him too!

And now here is my 31 week photo!
