Here we are at 22 weeks!! We have been busy getting everything ready for her nursery! I am enjoying buying all this pink! It is going to be great having one of each! I cannot wait!!
She is moving around more and more these days! She definitely loves to move around more at night! I do not feel like I have changed much over the past couple of weeks but that will all change in the next few weeks! :)
Although I do not feel like I have changed much, she sure is changing by the week! This week her lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and she is even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. Her eyes have formed, but her irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment.

What I miss? Just being able to move around like I use to. I still go and do like usual but I regret it by the end of the day! Sleep? Still sleeping really well. I am not sure how much longer this will last though!
What I am looking forward to? Getting her nursery all fixed up and Brayden's big boy room all put together!
Symptoms? Feeling pretty good besides all the pelvic and back pain.
These weeks continue to fly by! I have been so busy these past couple of weeks I am trying to catch up on everything. Last week we found out we are having a baby girl and of course we have already been shopping a few times already! I will have to take the time to post a few things we have got for her. I have ordered her bedding and it has already came in and I have made all of her letters, wall hangings and her bow holder. I have been busy! I cannot wait to get it all set up!
I have been feeling her move quite a bit this week. There have been a couple of days she will move a few times then other days she makes me almost jump out of my seat! I was able to see my belly move from her kicks for the first time the other day! It doesn't happen all the time but I guess it was the position she was in. She was really kicking around that day! I love feeling her move around. It is one of my favorite parts of pregnancy.
Pregnancy Highlights!
How far along? 21 weeks 6 days
Size of Baby? This week she is as long as a carrot weighing about 3/4 of a pound and about 10 1/2 inches from head to heel!
Weight Gain/Loss? I believe I have gained about 1/2 a pound. I have been keeping track at it between my appointments on my scale here at home and it has been pretty accurate.
Maternity Clothes? Yes, love those maternity clothes! So comfy!
Best Moment this week? Brayden patted my belly and said baby. Melted my heart! I talk to him about her all the time so I am hoping that he understand a bit when she gets here.
Gender? IT'S A GIRL! Olivia Kate!
Movement? Yes! And at times she has been down right uncomfortable. She is still small right now so I can only imagine what she is going to do to me when she gets bigger!
Food Craving? Veggies, especially salads!
What I miss? Nothing at all. As long as I am feeling good I LOVE being pregnant! :)
Sleep? Still sleeping really well. I hope this continues for the rest of the pregnancy!
What I am looking forward to? Getting both of my babies rooms set up! Also I am looking forward to taking my little man to see Thomas the Train this weekend!! We are going to have a blast! I am trying to do several things with him this summer before Olivia arrives!
Symptoms? Migraines, and still having the hip, back and tail bone pain. I think I might have to get use to these symptoms because I do not think they are going to go away.
The ultrasound tech said it was like hitting a moving target. She was so active that morning. More active than she has ever been The tech said that she was 99% sure of the sex of the baby but she had me get up and go to the bathroom and walk around to get her to move in a different position. She said that she was not going to tell us unless she was 100% sure. Well after about 10 minutes of moving around we got another look and sure enough she is a GIRL!
She was sure being stubborn through this whole ultrasound. We were able to get a good look at everything but parts of her heart. The doctor said not to worry at all it is just because of the position she was in and that we will get another ultrasound in June to finish it up the anatomy scan. We were also not able to see her profile or get really good pictures of her. I hope that we are able to see her face and get a 4D shot at the next visit.
These are the only shots we could get of her face. She was looking right at us.
We got a good strong heartbeat of 150 bpm!
Here is her little foot
And her fingers! She had her hands together. So sweet!
The doctor said that everything looked great. All her measurements that we were able to get were perfect!. She weighs about 11 ounces and is right on track for her due date! We are already so in love with her! We cannot wait till she is here to add to our family! Brayden is going to be the best big brother. He already loves to help mommy and he is the most gentle, tender hearted little boy I have ever met! I cannot wait to see both of my babies together. My heart may actually explode!
I am so thankful for both of my babies! They are precious gifts from God! I am so blessed beyond measure!
Now for her name! We have had this name picked out for years and it was going to be the name we used if Brayden had been a girl. I think it will fit her just perfect!
Our sweet baby girls name is.....
OLIVIA KATE
Olivia we cannot wait to meet you and we love you to pieces already!
I am a little late with this post. I have been SO busy lately. I have had most of it typed out but I haven't found time to finish it until now. I cannot believe my baby boy is 2 1/2 years old! Man time sure flies by! I just love this little boy to pieces and I would not trade him for the world. He continues to amaze me more and more each day! He is so smart and so polite. He is the most loving, tender hearted little boy that I have ever met. He does not like to see anyone hurt or sad. If he thinks I do not feel good or if I am sad he will say "I sorry mommy" or " Are you okay?" I love my little boy more than words can say.
Here is what my big 2 1/2 year old has been up to these past few months!
**He knows ALL of his shapes! He learned these in a matter of minutes. NO JOKE! He knows everything from circle, oval, rectangle and even octagon. The list goes on and on.
**He can say all his colors, ABC's, and can count all by himself.
**Brayden LOVES animals and can name most of them! He has a book of 100 animals and he tell you over half of them all on his own. He loves to tell you about the animals and then make the noise that each of them make.
**He LOVES to dance!! Here he is dancing during Dancing with the Stars!
**His imagination AMAZES me! He has such a great imagination for a 2 1/2 year old! I love it!
**He loves to sing his ABC's and one of his favorite songs is "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes!"
**His favorite things are still choo choo trains! He also loves cars/trucks and planes. These are his most favorite things of all time!
He made his own choo choo train out of his toys.
He is obsessed with Thomas the train! He knows all their names and can tell you what most of them say. Here he is telling us what Gordon says....
**He talks ALL THE TIME!! And is using more and more complete sentences. He completely amazes me with his vocabulary! He is also my little mockingbird too. He repeats everything these days so you really have to watch what you say.
** Brayden is such a polite little boy. He says Please, Thank You, You're Welcome and I'm Sorry all the time! So proud of him.
**He loves to laugh and make you laugh. He gets a big kick out of it. He is such a happy little boy and brings so much joy into my life!
**He has the biggest heart and is such a loving little boy! He loves to give hugs and kisses. He will tell you he loves you and misses you and it melts my heart!
**I really could not ask for a better child. He is never any trouble. He rarely ever gets put in time-out. He does not like it if he thinks you are upset with him and he will say "I'm sorry, momma" if he even thinks you are upset with him.
**For being just 2 1/2 he is already such a big help! He will help pick up his toys and put them away and he will clean up his table and throw away his napkin when he is finished eating. He loves to help mommy!
**He goes to sleep at 8:00 pm and sleeps until 7:30 am, sometimes a little earlier, sometimes a little later. We brush his teeth and he heads to bed with no fuss! He is such a good child. He has always been that way and he has always been a great sleeper so I hope this next baby will be just the same! :)
Brayden had his first visit to the Nashville Zoo. He loved it. We have a zoo here in town and we go there all the time so it was nice to get away for the day and check out another zoo.
The Choo Choo Train was his favorite part of the entire zoo I do believe!
We enjoyed our day together at the Nashville Zoo. We were so glad Daddy was able to take the day off to spend it with us. We had a great day despite the dreary, damp weather!
I am a thirty year old stay at home mommy of two, who has been married to her best friend for five years. We have a handsome three year old little boy, Brayden and a gorgeous baby girl, Olivia born in September 2012. Life is truly a blessing!
