Nick and Amy plus TWO!: March 2010

Our little man is 4 months old!!! It seems impossible. He has developed such a personality and he is SO much fun!! We spoil him rotten, but he is such a good baby! We could not ask for a better baby. He is our big miracle and we are so blessed to have him in our lives.

Before I go any further here is Brayden's 4 month photo:

He looks like a little man. Even though he is growing like a weed, these pictures make him look bigger than he really is.

Here are some highlights about Brayden that has happened in the past month:

***Brayden had his 1st Valentines Day! He got toys, books and a video from Mommy and Daddy. He got a toy from his Grandpa (my dad) and he got a stuffed monkey, clothes, a book and some videos from his Grammie and Pappaw Mikey. You think he might be spoiled just a little?? :)

***Brayden LOVES to watch TV, He loves all the movement/colors. In the mornings while I am getting ready for work I turn it to the Backyardigans or some other little cartoon and he loves it! He will sit in his little chair and stare. He gets so excited he kicks his little legs and squeals. It is so cute!

***He has started teething. He is always drooling and is always chewing on his little hands. I put a teether in his mouth and he really liked it. You can check out some drool in these photos:

***Brayden loves to sit in mommy's lap and look all around. He really only wants to be cuddled when he is sleepy. He is getting so big!

***He is sleeping through the night. We normally go to bed around 9:30-10 and we do not wake up to eat until around 7am. He has some nights that he still wakes up to eat about 4 but that is usually when he goes to early so he still sleeps at least 7 hours or so before he actually wakes up hungry.

***Brayden has discovered his voice. He has been cooing and jabbering for a while now but when he gets excited he squeals really loud. I love it!

***He is so ticklish. We can tickle him and he will squirm and laugh. There is nothing sweeter than hearing a baby laugh.

***Brayden got tickled at his pappaw mikey last week. Check out this video. It is adorable! :)

***The doctor told me last visit to start giving Brayden cereal with a spoon a week before his next visit. So, this past weekend Brayden has his first bite of cereal with a spoon . He did really well and he loved every bite. We have spoon fed him cereal once a night for the past week and he really got the hang of it pretty quick. It did not take him no time to learn to open his mouth when he seen the spoon. It is so cute to watch. Here are a few pictures of his first cereal. He looks like such a big boy in his highchair.

***Brayden went back to the doctor today for his 4 month check up and his 4 month shots. I dreaded this because of the way I handled his very first shots. I cried right along with him because it hurt me to see him in pain. Bless his heart. He cried, but not as bad as he did during his first round of shots. He has done really well so far. He has napped all day since getting his shots. Poor little guy! He must not feel good because he has not woke up to eat and this little guy does not miss a meal. :) He loves to eat. Anyway, Brayden is 18 pounds and 26 1/4 inches long!! BIG BOY!! He is not fat either. He has a few baby rolls but other than that he is solid. The doctor said that he is just fine and a very healthy baby boy. He will drop weight when he becomes mobile. The doctor also told me today to start feeding him with a spoon twice a day once with cereal and once with veggies. We can start feeding him the Gerber 1st foods. I cannot wait to see which ones he likes and which ones he does not I hope he got his Mommy's taste for veggies because I love it all, Nick on the other hand does not eat anything green. :) We shall see.

***Brayden loves his toys. He is really starting to notice them a lot more and grab at them.

***This month we put together Brayden's jumperoo and he LOVES it. I think it is by far one of his FAVORITE things so far. He can really go to town in it now.

***Brayden is still loving his bath time. I loves these pictures of him that I got this month.

***He loves to sit up and see what is going on around him. When he is awake, which is the majority of the day since he does not nap a whole lot, he wants to swing his his swing, play on his mat in the floor or jump in his jumperoo. He still loves to be held but sometimes he gets bored after a while and wants to play. He will sure let you know. I can put him in his jumperoo and he smiles from ear to ear. :) Here are a few pictures of him in his jumperoo.

***He can hold his head up really good while you are holding him or while he is sitting up. He is doing really well holding his head up while on his belly as well. He doesn't mind being on his belly for a couple of minutes after that he has had enough. He is STILL not a huge fan of tummy time. Oh well, he will learn to love it in time.

I guess that is all for updates on Brayden. As for me, as of March 8, I am officially a stay at home mommy. I am really looking forward to spending all of my time with Brayden and teaching him and watching him grow and learn. I am also excited for the warm weather that is just right around the corner so we can get out of the house and go on walks and make some trips to the zoo! I am so excited and blessed to be able to stay at home with my little man.

I have overloaded this post with pictures. I thought that I was bad when he was first born, but I think it gets worse as they get older because I grab the camera each time he does something new or each time he smiles! :) Oh well, you can never get those times back, so I take as many photos as possible.
