Thanksgiving 2011

I CANNOT believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone!! It is so hard to believe that this year is almost over! We had a great Thanksgiving and I hope you all did as well.  I have so much to be thankful for.  I thank God for this BIG blessing! He is everything I have ever wanted and so much more!! I am so blessed!

I am thankful for my husband.  He works so hard and I am so thankful that he allows me to stay at home to raise our little boy! I do not thank him enough for all he does for us.  He really is a pretty good guy. :)
My handsome little guy! I love this little boy more than life itself!
We enjoyed a delicious meal and great company at my mom's Thanksgiving night.  I was even able to spend some time with my dad that day as well.  It was a great day! Brayden was being his usual happy self and showing off for everyone.  He is a mess!

Here he is checking out one of Grammie's trees.  He never bothered anything he would just go up to the tree and say "Ho Ho" and we would look for one of her Santa Claus ornaments.  I am thankful that this little guy never bothers anything on the tree or any of the presents under the tree. I have never had to worry about him bothering it.  He is such a good little boy.
He found Grammie's huge snow globes and he was DONE.  He was amazed by these the rest of the night!

The next night we went to the Land of Lights in Santa Claus, Indiana.  Brayden was only a couple of weeks old the first time we went with him and we decided that it would be our new family tradition to visit the Land of Lights the day after Thanksgiving every year.  We had such a good time.  They had more lights this year and Brayden enjoyed it so much!

Mommy and Brayden having fun in the backseat during the ride through the lights!
He was amazed and kept saying "WOW. Look!"

And we always get a new ornament for him at the Christmas Store each year.  I was really hoping he would want to visit Santa this year since he has shown so much interest in him but no such luck.  This might be the closest we get to Santa this year.  Bless his heart!
And finally....Meet Spike! He arrived at our house Friday night and Brayden loves him and already looks for him.

I hope that each and every one of you had a great Thanksgiving with your family and friends!

Deck the Halls 2011

We put our Christmas decorations the week after Brayden's birthday party and our little elf just had to help! :)

Helping Daddy carry part of the Christmas tree.

Such a big help! He loves to be involved in everything you do and I LOVE it too! :) Melts my heart!

Putting on an ortanment.

And another one! :)

The finished product!

All lit up!

I love this time of year.  There is just something about cuddling with your family, watching a movie with the glow of the Christmas tree! It doesn't get much better than that!

2 Year Doctor Check Up!

On November 18th I took my little guy for his TWO year checkup! It was a nightmare!! He knows that office as soon as you walk in.  While I was registering him I put him down and he clung to my leg for dear life!! We had a seat and waited to get called back.  While we were waiting he kept saying...."Bye- See ya" over and over.  He did not want to be there.  Finally we were called back and as soon as we walked into the examining room he had a fit.  I put him on the table to get him undressed so we could take him to get weighed and he did not want to let go of his mommy.  He was scared to death. I took him to have him weighed and the entire time he was reaching for him to pick him up.  It absolutely breaks my heart to see him so scared.  He cried the entire time we were there and did not want a thing to do with the doctor whatsoever.  And for all of you that know Brayden, you know that this is NOT him at all.  He is such a friendly, happy little guy all the time.  He is just terrified of the doctor and the doctor even reassured me that it was totally normal.

The doctor examined him and said that he was perfect.  At 2 years old he weighs 28 pounds and 15 ounces and is 35 1/2 inches tall.  He said that he was in the 78 percentile for his weight and 75 percentile for his height.

We do not have to see him again for a YEAR!!  Bless his heart it was rough visit for him! At least there were not any shots involved this visit!

And why not leave you with a post of my sweet little guy before he headed out to the dreaded doctor!

Poor little guy had no idea where he was headed.  Bless his heart!

Fall Family Pictures

In October we had Fall family pictures done with Julie Hope a photographer here in Evansville.  We went to Audubon State Park and it was a beautiful place for fall pictures! I wanted to share some of the pictures with you.  We just got the actual pictures last week and I was so excited to get them hung on my wall!

And I LOVE this one.  I have a huge picture of it hanging above our bed.  Something so innocent about this picture! MY FAVORITE!
