Nick and Amy plus TWO!: September 2011

Yesterday we took Brayden to get his first haircut at a salon. I have cut his hair the previous two times but this time we decided to take him and let someone professional do it since it was getting so long!! I was worried how he would react because I tried trimming his hair a couple of weeks ago and he did not want me no where near him with those scissors.
Here is our little guy waiting his turn to get his haircut.

When it was his turn she asked Brayden if he wanted to pick out a car to sit in and he said "YEAHHH!" in his sweet little voice. He was excited. He went right to her and got his cape on and started playing with the jeep. He had a couple of toys and the Backyardigans on the television...he was set!

He did SO good and his mommy and daddy was so proud of him!! The only thing he did not like was the clippers she tried to use on him to shape up around his ears. He was NOT having that. It was such a great experience and he was such a big boy!! Now I look at him with his new haircut and he doesn't even look like the same baby boy, he looks like a BIG BOY! Mommy is not ready for him to grown up just yet!

WOW!! How did I get so behind?? I am just now able to sit down and write out Brayden's 22 month update and he is almost 23 MONTHS OLD!!! WHEW!! I started his blog update but never found the time to finish it!! I guess that is because Brayden keeps me SO busy these days!!

Anyway here is my sweet 22 month old!!

This month FLEW by!! We enjoyed a trip to the zoo!!

Mommy and Brayden

**Brayden has a new obsession with CARS!! and LOTS of them!! I cannot wait for him to see one of his birthday presents from mommy and daddy. He is getting a train table and he will LOVE it!

**Brayden also got his first play gun this month. This was all daddy!! Mommy did not have a say in this one!

**He loves to imitate me while I am cooking!! He loves it. He will stir and stir and then taste it and say "mmmmmm!" So Cute!

**Brayden has his first piece of corn on the cob and he LOVED it!!

He also had his very first chocolate milkshake! He was in heaven.

**He has become such a little picky eater! He does not want any meat but he loves his fruits and veggies and he LOVES yogurt! I am so glad that he loves things that are so good for him but I feel like that is all he wants to eat anymore.

**When he is finished eating now, he will throw his little hands back and say "all gone."

**He has a new obsession with game shows! He loves to watch Family Feud, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. He actually will say "no" when the buzzer goes off when someone answers wrong on Family Feud. He will also shout to the TV when wheel of fortune is on! Silly Boy!

**He also loves to watch Wipeout and he literally will look at you and laugh at all that nonsense! LOL

**Brayden now knows how to change the channels on the remote. He also will hand you the remote when one of his shows goes off because he wants you to turn it to another one.

**One of his latest obsessions is Wonder Pets! For some reason he loves this show and will not move until it is over.

**He loves to play Hide and Seek! And I mean he LOVES it!! He loves to find you and yell "BOO!"

**He loves to help dress himself. He thinks he is so big when you let him do all these "big boy" things on his own.

**He is talking more and more! I cannot remember everything new he is saying but here are just a few:

Clothes
Spoon
Gotcha
Dance (while throwing his little hands in the air) It is too cute to watch!
Mickey
He says WHY all the time! HAHA!
Shoes
Where are you?
What is that?

**He will also point his little finger to Lucy (my moms dog) when she barks and yell "Noooooo!" and then hold his little finger up to his mouth and say "shhhhhhhhh" It is the funniest thing ever!

** No lie, Brayden will say "thank you" every time you give him something or take something for him and it is the absolute sweetest "thank you" I have EVER heard! Melts my heart!

**He has picked up on yet another animal sound.....When you ask him what does a monkey say, he will say... "eeeee....eeeee.....eeeeee" He is so funny!

**He does a really good job of letting me know what he wants. He also does a good job of listening really well. If I ask him to pick up something or bring something to me, he does it.

**He does so good walking up and down the stairs. He amazes me! He should not be getting that big!!

**My favorite part of the day with him is when he comes and loves on me and kisses me for no reason at all.

**This past month we got our Halloween costume, tried it on and sold it all within a week! He hated it and I was not going to put him through that. So hopefully we have one now that we can handle. Poor guy!

**We still do not have any trouble getting him to go nite nite. But he will not go nite nite without monkey or "key-key" as Brayden calls it! He will take off through the house yelling "key-key, where are you?" It is the sweetest thing! He has always been such an easy little boy. I just hope it lasts! :)

**Brayden LOVES to finger paint!! And make a mess! Thank goodness it is washable!

The Final Masterpiece!

**He loves and I mean LOVES to brush his teeth!

Here is a video of him brushing his teeth one night. We always brush them for him and then let him have at it. He loves it!

**He also loves for me to clip his finger nails. I have NEVER met a child that sits so still while you clip their nails. After each one he will say "got it!" He is too funny!

**He still loves his bath time and now will literally almost splash all the water out of the tub. After he is done, I have water running down the walls the blinds on the toilet....everywhere!! But he has a blast!

**He also loves to wash his litte hands! He knows before he eats we wash our hands. Such a smart little guy!
**He has a SHOE OBSESSION!!! He loves shoes of any kind!! He also loves to go get his own shoes and put them on by himself!
