25 Weeks!!!

Where in the world is this year going??? I cannot believe it is almost July!!!  When I first found out I was pregnant the weeks went by so slow.  I think this had alot to do with all the morning sickness I had to put up with.  At that time, I never thought that I would feel "normal" again! Now that I am feeling better, the weeks seem to FLY by!

We have Olivia's room almost complete and I am starting to work on her closet! I hope to have everything done here soon so I can sit back and relax and enjoy the rest of the time as a little family of three before she arrives. I have a to-do list and while it feels good to check things off, I find myself adding things to the list just as much as I check them off! HA!

This week Baby Olivia is growing like a weed! She still has a pretty lean figure but her body is filling out and soon have some baby fat on her. Her brain is also growing quickly and her taste buds are continuing to develop.

Here are my 25 week pregnancy highlights!

Pregnancy Highlights!
How far along?  25 weeks 6 days

Size of Baby? This week Baby Olivia is about the size of an ear of corn!

Weight Gain/Loss?   According to my home scales I have gained about a pound and 1/2 a pound or so.

Maternity Clothes?  Yes of course!

Best Moment this week?  Finding out that I passed my Gestational Diabetes Test!! I just knew that since I had Gestational Diabetes with my pregnancy with Brayden that I would have it again with Olivia but I passed with flying colors! It was not even close this time! Thank goodness!

Gender? IT'S A GIRL! Olivia Kate!

Movement? She moves around all the time. I could sit and watch my belly move all day long! I cannot wait till she is here but I know I will once again miss all these little kicks!

Food Craving?  Still loving salads and Watermelon!

What I miss?  Feeling like myself.  I love being pregnant but I will have to say that this pregnancy has been much harder than my first.

Sleep?   Sleeping really well. I fall asleep pretty easy each night and some mornings I wake up and I do not think that I moved all night long.  I pray that I continue to sleep well throughout the rest of the pregnancy.

What I am looking forward to?  Finishing up her room/closet and getting everything ready or her arrival.  I am definitely a planner and I have to have everything in place ready to go! I want to make sure that we have everything ready for her and that I have a little time to relax before she arrives!

Symptoms? Back, Hip, and Tail Bone pain.  Migraines, and leg pain.  This pregnancy I have developed a painful vein that is causing me some issues and scaring me to death. It is a small vein right below my skin on my upper thigh and you cannot feel it through the skin but I am still worried sick over it. I am sure it is from the pressure of her pushing down. She is still sitting so low so that is probably the cause of this painful vein!  I just hope that everything will be ok with this vein and that it will go away after she is born.

24 Weeks and Doctor Update!

I cannot believe that I am almost 25 weeks pregnant. We are a little more than 100 days till my due date!! Unreal!  I am a little late writing this post so I am 24 weeks and 6 days pregnant! This pregnancy is flying by! I had a doctors appointment today and they went ahead and set every single doctors appointment that I will have from here on out! WOW!

I had another ultrasound today.  Due to her position during the last ultrasound we were unable to see her heart and her profile so I had to come back in today to finish up the anatomy scan! I am not complaining though! I was so excited to be able to see her again.  We were able to get all the pictures of her heart right away.  Her heart rate today was 143 bpm.  We also needed to get a picture of her profile.  During the ultrasound she hid her face the entire time.  She had her little hands covering her face the whole time.  The tech even put it in 4D so I could see her little hands over her face.  I ended up having to leave to go to the lab to have my blood drawn for my gestational diabetes screening and had to go back to finish the ultrasound.  She was being very stubborn.  Thankfully when I returned to ultrasound we were able to get her profile right away.  The tech also told me that she was head down for the time being. Brayden was never head down until right before he was delivered.  She also weighs 1 pound 9 ounces which puts her in the 50 percentile.

Here is my sweet baby girl!

Her sweet profile. I think she looks alot like her big brother did! :)

And confirmation that She is still a little girl!!

The doctor said that everything looked wonderful!  She measured me and I was measuring right on target.  I had to wait for a while to see my doctor because she was running behind.  While I waited she was able to get some of my results of my blood work.  She was able to tell me that my iron was really low so I have to take iron supplements again with this pregnancy.  My iron was low during my pregnancy with Brayden so I figured it would be the same with this pregnancy as well.

What I am looking forward to?  Finishing her nursery and getting everything ready for her! I cannot wait to see what her big brother thinks of her.  I think he will adore her.

A Day Out With Thomas!

Last weekend we took Brayden to New Haven, KY to A Day Out With Thomas! He had an absolute blast!! He is a huge Thomas fan. We were able take a train ride with Thomas.  He thought he was in Heaven!  There were lots of things to do: Train Tables, Storytime, Puppet Shows, Face Painting, a meet and greet with Sir Topham Hatt and lots more!! We will definitely be going back!  Here are some of the pictures we took throughout the day!

Reading his Thomas books on the way to New Haven

23 Weeks!!!

I cannot believe I am 23 weeks pregnant already! Olivia is growing more every week!  At this point in my pregnancy I am feeling pretty good, besides all the leg, butt and back pain. :) I still have quite of bit of energy to get things done during the day but by the time bedtime rolls around I am exhausted!

We have been working on her nursery and it is all coming together great! I love her nursery! As soon as it is complete I will be sure to post pictures of it! I am so excited for her to get here!
This week she weighs just over a pound and I am able to see her squirm underneath my clothing.  Her blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing. She can also hear loud noises that go on around her.  These loud noises that become familiar now such as a dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them once she arrives! Although I have been through one pregnancy I also love to read about what is going on with her from week to week.  It just amazes me!

This coming week I have an doctor's appointment with an ultrasound. I am so excited to see our sweet baby girl this coming week. We were not able to see her profile or get a 4D picture of her so I am so excited to see her sweet little face!  I also have my Gestational Diabetes screening during this appointment.  I pray that the results are different this pregnancy.

Here are my 23 week pregnancy highlights!

Weight Gain/Loss?   I believe I have gained close to 2 pounds in the past week.  I am anxious to see what the scales say at the doctors office! :)

Maternity Clothes? Yes.

Best Moment this week?  Getting started on her nursery! It makes everything more real! Next we will move the furniture out of Brayden's room and move his toddler bed in! I am not sure I am ready for my baby to grow up! :(

Gender? IT'S A GIRL! Olivia Kate!

Movement? Yes.  She has some pretty strong kicks at times.  Almost makes me want to pee my pants! :) I also love to sit and watch my belly move as she moves! It is amazing!

What I miss?  Being able to walk and bend, or just able to move around without pain.  I do no ever remember hurting this bad with Brayden. Although sometimes it is painful it is so worth it! :)

Sleep?   Sleeping pretty good! I do have a little trouble falling asleep sometimes but for the most part I am sleeping great!

What I am looking forward to?  Seeing my little girl again on the ultrasound this next week!! Last ultrasound we were unable to get everything we needed including her profile so we get to have another ultrasound this week!

Symptoms?  Round ligament pain and Sciatic nerve pain WHEW! Sometimes that Sciatic nerve pain almost brings me to my knees!

Here are my 23 week photos!

Please say a prayer that I pass my Gestational Diabetes Screening this coming week!
