32 Weeks and Doctor Update!!!

Here we are another week closer to Brayden's arrival!! Time continues to fly by. It's true. They say that they older you get the faster time passes you by. Sorry this updates is so late. This is really the first time that I have had to sit down and write it.

I am still feeling really good. Still having the back and hip pain and the wonderful "sensations" but that is all to be expected. Brayden still continues to move all over the place.

Nick and I had our first baby shower on Saturday in Illinois. We had a great time and a great turnout. Nick and I want to send out huge THANK YOU'S to Barb and Lacey for throwing us such a wonderful shower. And THANK YOU to all those who came and for all the wonderful gifts. We greatly appreciate it.

Here are a few photos from our baby shower last weekend!

Notice the cake! "Welcome Hunter" They all love the name Hunter, so I am sure I will have to put up a fight because they will want to call him Hunter and everyone else will call him Brayden. :)

The next day we went to Patti's to eat dinner for our second wedding anniversary. It was YUMMY! It is so hard to believe that Nick and I have been married for 2 years now and we are expecting our first little one! It has been a wonderful two years!! I am so blessed. Nick is such a wonderful husband and I could not ask for a better person to spend my lift with. Brayden and I are so lucky to have him in our lives. I am so thankful for everything God has blessed me with. Sometimes I wonder why I deserve all of this.

On Sunday, before we went to dinner Nick took my photos for the week. Here are my 32 week photos:

I have been thankful not to receive any of those lovely stretch marks so far....let's hope we can hold out just a few more weeks!! :)

On Tuesday, which happened to be our 2nd anniversary, we had our ultrasound to find out how big our little guy is. We got to see him and he was not wanting to corporate. :) We found out he is in the breech position, which Dr. Cave was not worried about it at this time. She said that if he does not move in the next couple of weeks, she will probably do another ultrasound to see what position he is in and if he is still breech at that time we will start discussing whether to try and turn him or to schedule a c-section. Let's pray that he turns! During the entire ultrasound, Brayden was folded up. He had his legs pulled up in front of his face and his little hands were holding his legs up. How cute! He did not look comfortable at all. He was literally shaped in a U.

The tech was trying to make him move at one point and you could see him making faces. I think he was starting to get mad. :)
She told us that everything looked good and the fluid around him looked good as well. His heartbeat was good and strong at 138bmp. She was also able to tell us that Brayden weighs 4lbs and 8 oz. right now.

Here are some photo's of our precious baby boy!!

Notice in the two pictures above that he has his legs in front of his face. That cannot be comfortable! :)

In the next photo you can see Brayden's profile, his leg, foot and his little arm and hands hold his legs up. Let's hope that he decides to unfold and turn into position.
We cannot wait to meet you Brayden!!!
After our ultrasound we went to see the doctor. Everything looked great. My blood pressure was good. It was 110/60 and I was measuring right where I am suppose to be. We also asked about the baby's weight and she said that everything is great and that he is in the 60th percentile. Looks like Brayden is pretty healthy! :)

I go back to see her in two weeks and then after the next visit I have to go in for a non-stress test every visit along with my regular OB appointment until Brayden arrives. She said they do a non-stress test for people with gestational diabetes and they will hook me up to a monitor and monitor his fetal movement and any contractions that I might be having.

It is so hard to believe that in less than 7 weeks Brayden could be here. This pregnancy has went by so fast. We are almost finished with Braydens room and now I need to wash some of his clothes so that they are ready for him when he arrives. We have another baby shower next weekend at my moms house and we are so excited about that. Then I have another small shower with the girls at work the next week. So after that, I will be able to finish Braydens room and get everything in place for his arrival.

Well, I guess that is all for now. Hope you all have a great weekend!!
Love you all,
Nick, Amy and Brayden

31 Weeks!!!

Another week has come and gone and I am almost 32 weeks pregnant!! WOW! Not much has changed this week. I have still been feeling pretty good, except my migraines started acting up again last weekend and then once during the week. I think it is just my crazy hormones and hopefully they will go away after Brayden arrives! I have been having a lot of back and hip pain and it seems to be getting worse. Other than that I cannot complain. Poor Nick has had to put up with me this past week. :) Thank goodness I have an amazing husband who is there for me. He rubs my back every night, sometimes twice a night. What would I do without him?? :)

I sent in my blood sugar results on Thursday for the past week and I was out of range twice. They called me today and said that Dr. Fitzpatrick said everything continues to look good and that I just need to continue with my diet. :)

Anyway....here are my 31 week photos:

You can definitely tell that Baby Brayden is getting bigger every week. Grow baby Grow!! He is still as active as ever and pretty much moves all throughout the day. I am beginning to wonder if this little guy ever sleeps?? :) He does not keep me up during the night. Hopefully that is a good sign that he sleeps all night?? You think?? Maybe wishful thinking??? There are times after I get up in the middle of the night that I can lay there and he will start moving. I love to just lay there in the middle of the night and feel him go to town! It is a feeling that I never get tired of. I cannot wait to meet our little one. Not to much longer to go!!

Saturday, we are heading to Illinois for our first baby shower and we are so excited! I hope to post some pictures for you next week along with my 32 week photos. On Tuesday, we have a doctors appointment and we have another ultrasound so we get to find out how big this little guy is. I will post pictures of the ultrasound as well!! So be sure to check back for lots of updates!! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Love you all!

30 Weeks and Doctor Updates!!!

Wow...30 weeks already?? Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday we were telling everyone the great news that we were expecting! I cannot believe that I have 9 weeks or less to go! As I write this post I am actually 31 weeks pregnant! Brayden will be making his appearance in a matter of weeks! And trust me, he lets me know he is ready to meet his mommy and daddy. :) I have been having some uncomfortable sensations a lot lately and I believe it is because he is so low. He has also found that he loves to stomp on my bladder! I was sitting on the couch with Nick the other night and I had to jump up and go to the bathroom before he made me pee my pants! :) All in all, I have loved being pregnant, but we are so ready to meet our little guy. I am still feeling really well besides being totally exhausted and run down. And besides the fact that my legs and hips have been killing me, but I think it is just my body changing and carrying more weight than I am use to.

I have been looking for a small bookshelf to put in his room. I found one for a great deal and Nick put it together this week. Check it out.

I think we finally have his room altogether and now I just need to finish organizing everything. I wanted to have everything finished before our baby showers so that we can just go in and put everything away. It has all been so exciting!!

On Tuesday, Nick and I went to see Dr. Cave. Everything looked great. My blood pressure was 110/60 and I had gained a couple of pounds, which I was glad to see since I have changed my diet due to the gestational diabetes. Dr. Cave measured me and I was measuring right on target. She also listened to his heartbeat which was loud and strong. We have one of the monitors at home that Nick and I can use to hear his heartbeat and this week we have been able to listen to his little heartbeat at home, which is really neat.

Dr. Cave scheduled us for an ultrasound on the 22nd followed by an office visit. So we are so excited to see out little guy one more time before we see him in person. This also happens to fall on our 2nd wedding anniversary!! What a great gift!!

On Wednesday, I went to see Dr. Fitzpatrick. He is super nice. He said that my blood sugars looked great and there was only one time it was high which none of us could understand. They told me that it could have been caused by hormones because about an hour and 15 minutes after I took it and it was high I took it again because I started feeling really shaky and weak. When I took it, it was 58. So I immediately ate something to bring it back up. But other than that, it has been doing great! They told me to keep up the great work and continue with the diet and unless the ultrasound showed us that he is bigger than what he would like, he would see me back in 4 WEEKS!! Which is GREAT!! He still wants me to email him my blood sugars every week, but he said that I was doing a great job which is great to hear. He also said that as the way it looks now, they will not take him early and that his due date of November 14 looks great. So it is up to Brayden at this point!! :) Nick and I both think that he will be at least a week early. We will see.

Anyway...here are my 30 week photos!!

I was reading all the changes he is going through right now. It is so amazing. Right now he keeps packing on the weight and his tiny bones are hardening. His brain is continuing to develop faster than ever. His brain is taking on those characteristic grooves. I also read that he is busy making faces, hiccuping, swallowing, breathing, pedaling with his little hands and feet and even sucking his little thumb! It is so amazing. God has been so good to us. We are so blessed and we cannot wait to meet little Brayden Hunter! I guess that is all for now. I am looking forward to my first baby shower next weekend in Illinois. Check back next week for my updated photos and possibly some baby shower photos!

Love you all,

Nick, Amy and Brayden

29 Weeks!!!

Time continues to fly by and Brayden and I are growing by the day! :) I am still feeling really good besides staying tired ALL THE TIME! I sleep pretty good throughout the night although my back is really starting to bother me. I wake up in the morning still feeling so very tired no matter how much sleep I got the night before. Oh well, it is so worth it! Brayden is getting stronger each and every day and is still very active. Most mornings I wake to him rolling and kicking me. I love it. He is still most active at night.

As I write this post I am actually 30 weeks today! We are on the home stretch!! Only 10 more weeks to go (or less)! It is so hard to believe that he will be here in no time!

I go back to the doctor on Tuesday to see Dr. Cave and then see Dr. Fitzpatrick on Wednesday. He is the doctor that I have been seeing for my blood sugar. I had to send in my blood sugar results on Wednesday and they called me and told me that the numbers looked great and that I have been doing a great job and to keep up the good work!! That was a huge relief. I have been working so hard and watching everything that I eat. It was great to hear!

Not much has changed this week besides I can tell that I have gotten bigger this week. I can feel it. I am curious to find out when we will be able to know the approximate weight of this little guy. Dr. Fitzpatrick wants to find out around week 32, so we will set that up this week when I see Dr. Cave. I cannot wait!

I told Nick last night that I was getting a little nervous as time keeps getting closer. I am not nervous about being a mommy, but I am nervous about the delivery and getting everything complete by the time he is here. We have the nursery done, but there are things we still need to do, I need to start making a list of everything that I need to finish before he decides to make his grand entrance! :) Nick always laughs at me because I am such a planner and have things done so far in advance. I cannot help it!

Anyway....enough rambling.....here are my 29 week photos!

I wanted to also share a photo that Nick took this week. I thought about getting maternity photos done, but I decided not to. I wanted to wait until he is here and get some family photos made. Here a photo that Nick took the other night, and I love it!

Anyway...check back this week for my 30 week photos and doctor updates!! Hope everyone has a happy and safe Labor Day weekend! Love you all!!
