I have been looking for a small bookshelf to put in his room. I found one for a great deal and Nick put it together this week. Check it out.
I think we finally have his room altogether and now I just need to finish organizing everything. I wanted to have everything finished before our baby showers so that we can just go in and put everything away. It has all been so exciting!!
On Tuesday, Nick and I went to see Dr. Cave. Everything looked great. My blood pressure was 110/60 and I had gained a couple of pounds, which I was glad to see since I have changed my diet due to the gestational diabetes. Dr. Cave measured me and I was measuring right on target. She also listened to his heartbeat which was loud and strong. We have one of the monitors at home that Nick and I can use to hear his heartbeat and this week we have been able to listen to his little heartbeat at home, which is really neat.
Dr. Cave scheduled us for an ultrasound on the 22nd followed by an office visit. So we are so excited to see out little guy one more time before we see him in person. This also happens to fall on our 2nd wedding anniversary!! What a great gift!!
On Wednesday, I went to see Dr. Fitzpatrick. He is super nice. He said that my blood sugars looked great and there was only one time it was high which none of us could understand. They told me that it could have been caused by hormones because about an hour and 15 minutes after I took it and it was high I took it again because I started feeling really shaky and weak. When I took it, it was 58. So I immediately ate something to bring it back up. But other than that, it has been doing great! They told me to keep up the great work and continue with the diet and unless the ultrasound showed us that he is bigger than what he would like, he would see me back in 4 WEEKS!! Which is GREAT!! He still wants me to email him my blood sugars every week, but he said that I was doing a great job which is great to hear. He also said that as the way it looks now, they will not take him early and that his due date of November 14 looks great. So it is up to Brayden at this point!! :) Nick and I both think that he will be at least a week early. We will see.
Anyway...here are my 30 week photos!!
I was reading all the changes he is going through right now. It is so amazing. Right now he keeps packing on the weight and his tiny bones are hardening. His brain is continuing to develop faster than ever. His brain is taking on those characteristic grooves. I also read that he is busy making faces, hiccuping, swallowing, breathing, pedaling with his little hands and feet and even sucking his little thumb! It is so amazing. God has been so good to us. We are so blessed and we cannot wait to meet little Brayden Hunter! I guess that is all for now. I am looking forward to my first baby shower next weekend in Illinois. Check back next week for my updated photos and possibly some baby shower photos!
Love you all,
Nick, Amy and Brayden
So exciting! November 14th is such a great day! :)
