Brayden is 2 months old!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!!! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I know we sure did! :) I am sorry this post is a little late. Anyway....Where did 2009 go?? I cannot believe it. I found out I was pregnant in March of 2009 and before I knew it I was holding him in my arms and now he is 2 months old!! I cannot believe it. The past two months have been the best time of my life. Brayden has changed our lives and it has been amazing. Each day he continues to amaze me and I look at him and I think he changes everyday! He is so much fun and I know it is only going to get better!

Here are some random photos from his 2nd month!

Here are some things about Brayden that has happened in the past month:

*Brayden went for his 2 month check up on Thursday and everything went great. I dreaded the fact that he had to get shots, because I did not want to see him upset. He was so happy before the shots. He was smiling and cooing and then it all changed. The first shot they gave him was in liquid form and he LOVED it! Then for the needles! :( The nurse was getting ready to give him the shots and I leaned down and got right in his face and held his little hands. He was just looking and smiling at me and then he started screaming and crying! Of course I cried right along with him. I hated to see him in pain. After it was all over I picked him right up and loved on him. He did really well that day and night. He slept for most of the day and night and was not really that fussy. He did not fun a fever with the shots which I was really happy about! I gave him Tylenol just in case.

*He loves to eat. I hope that when we get to eating solids that he loves everything just like his mommy. :)

*Brayden can wear all of his 0-3 months clothes. I have actually packed away all of his newborn clothes

*He still loves his bath time. It seems to sooth him and he loves it. I am thankful he likes a bath because I know a lot of babies HATE bath time!

*He also loves to take car rides. He took his first road trips this month. We went to Kentucky and Illinois all in two days. Needless to say he was wore out and sleep really well the next day or so.

* Brayden's first Christmas was great! He is such a blessing and this Christmas was the best yet and I know it will only get better. Brayden received so many presents that we might have to build on to our brand new home just to hold them all! :) He is so spoiled already! Here are some photos from his first Christmas! We took so many photos but I will only post a few. If you have facebook you can see all of our photos that we post.

*Brayden talks ALL THE TIME! He loves to be talked to and he will talk right back. He is so much fun! I love to sit and talk to him and listen to him coo and try and talk back. If only we knew what he was saying. :) We got him on video talking to his Uncle Josh on Christmas Eve. He was telling his Uncle that he is "good" Here is the video....

*Brayden smiles ALL the time!! It is one of my favorite things. There is nothing better than to wake up and look over and say something to him and he looks at you and grins so big! It makes my day.

Here is another video of Brayden smiling at mommy....

*He loves to lay on his play mat and kick his little legs. He also has discovered himself in the mirror on his mat.

* Brayden is able to hold his head up. He is still really wobbly, but is doing good for the most part. He was not a huge fan of tummy time, but lately he has got better with it. He likes to be held up on your shoulder and then he hold his head up so he can look all around. He is very alert and loves to look at lights and shadows.

*He notices everything now and responds to voices and noises. He watches everything that goes on around him and does not want to miss a thing.

*Brayden has been sleeping really well the past couple of weeks. He has always done really good since he was born. Since he has been born he has woke up every 3-4 hours to feed. This past weekend, Nick kept him so I could sleep Friday night and Saturday night (He does this every weekend that he can to help me out and I am so thankful for him). Anyway, Friday night he sleep 6 hours straight and Saturday he sleep 6 1/2 straight so he is definitely starting to sleep more. Sunday night I figured he wouldn't do well and he ended up eating at 9pm and we put him down to sleep and he slept till 4am. I was shocked.

We took him when he was just a couple of weeks old to get family photos made. Here are just a few of the photos from that session.

Well I guess that is all for now. It will not be long before I he is 3 months old, so be sure to check back for updates!!

Love you all,

Nick, Amy and Brayden
