Before I go any further I will share a few of Brayden's 12 month photos.

This past month has been so busy! Here is what Brayden has been up to this past month!
**Brayden took his first step on October 29! He stood by himself when I let go of him and he took his first step. When he gets up the courage to let go and take off...watch out!
**Brayden is wearing size 12-18 months clothes. Although some of his 12-18 months clothing is a little big on him but he will grow into them this winter.
**Brayden went to the doctor on Tuesday. He weighs 25 pounds and 9 ounces and is 29 1/2 inches long. The doctor said that he doing great. He has only gained about a pound in 3 months and it must be because he is on the go ALL the time! He had to get 3 shots during this visit but he did great with them! He of course cried when they gave them to him, but when we got home he ate and played and then took a short nap and was a bundle of joy the rest of the day and night. I only gave him one dose of Tylenol. He never ran a fever or even acted like he felt bad at all. We went over his development and Dr. Voyles said that he is right on target! Just a perfect little boy! I am so thankful that Brayden has been so healthy and happy! I am blessed!
My little man before heading out to see the doctor!
**He LOVES to eat and he LOVES his juice! He loves every kind of juice out there and he loves water as well! As far as food, we feed him a lot of table food now. He gets almost anything we eat (just cut in small pieces) unless it is spicy. The doctor told us on Tuesday that we can be done with the baby food and feed him table food now. He said that we could try things such as Mexican or Chinese and not to worry about the spices unless he lets you know otherwise. I am sure he will be like me and LOVE every bit of it. I love anything spicy and I LOVE Chinese. As far a table food, he loves potatoes, carrots, green beans, grilled chicken, corn, mac and cheese, spaghetti, etc. There is nothing this child will not eat. He takes after his mommy for sure. And anytime he sees you eating ,he thinks he needs to eat too, even if he just ate. :)
Ready to eat!
Here is a video of Brayden enjoying his dinner one day....he says "mmmm...." while he eats. He must really enjoy his food! :)
**Brayden jabbers ALL the time!! He gets to jabbering and then starts using his hands like he is really telling you all about something. He sure seems to know what he is saying. It is too cute! And he has SUCH a personality. I LOVE it! I think that I am going to have a talker on my hands! :)

-At 12 months, here are some of the things Brayden can say:
: mama
: dada
: bye-bye
: hi
: no-no
: ya-ya (This is yes-yes. He says this when I tell him no-no)
: papaw (We all swore that he was saying papaw the night of his birthday)
: thank you (He has said this a couple of times after I say thank you. It is the cutest thing)
: uh-oh (He drops things on purpose just to say uh-oh)

Another thing that he has started doing is when you take a drink he will look at you smack his lips and say "AAAHHHHH" His daddy taught him that one. It is so cute!
Here is a video we took of Brayden saying bye-bye...

**Brayden gives the biggest and best hugs. (The highlight of each day!) He will crawl over to you and hug you if your sitting in the floor with him. He wraps his little arms around your neck and when he hugs you now he says "awwwww......" He has picked this up because I always say "awww" when I hug him and tell him that I love him. This is also how he started to say "thank you" because I would tell him thank you after he hugs or kisses me.
**He loves on all his stuff animals as well. He will hug and kiss them and love on them. He really is such a loving baby.
**For some time now when I go to change his clothes he will actually help me by raising his little arm and pushing his arms through his shirt or pulling the shirt over his head or
if he is standing at the tub waiting for a bath I will take his pants off and he will lift each leg as I take them off each leg. It is like he knows what he is suppose to do. I will also get out the wipes to wipe off his hands and as soon as he sees the package he automatically holds out his hand. So smart!
**Brayden's hair was getting so long in the back that it really needed a trim. I decided to cut it myself. I put Brayden in the sink in the bathroom so he couldn't get away and trimmed his hair. Here are some photos from Brayden's first haircut.
**Brayden got his first boo-boo this month. I laid my hand held video camera (which is the size of my iPhone) on the end table and it caught Brayden's eye, literally. He was looking up at it and decided to pull it off and it hit him just right under his eye.
**Brayden LOVES to play with all of his toys. He loves his playroom and could play in there for hours. Sometimes you might even find him like this from playing so hard :)
Here is Brayden having some fun in the laundry basket. I love his little laugh!!
**We took Brayden to Boo at the Zoo this year and we had a lot of fun! Everyone absolutely LOVED Brayden's costume and one of the zoo workers even took his picture to put in their newsletter. We kept getting compliments about him. Here are some photos from Boo at the Zoo.
All dressed up and ready to go!

**Nick and I took Brayden to a pumpkin patch this past month. We went to one in Henderson and we had a blast. Brayden loved the animals that were there and I painted a little pumpkin for him. We even enjoyed a hayride together. It was a lot of fun and cannot wait to make this a tradition each year! :)

**Brayden had a big birthday that lasted all week long it seemed! His daddy took a day off work just to spend the day with him. Like I said we went to Build a Bear for the first time and we just made the whole day all about Brayden. Later that afternoon, my mom and my stepdad Mike, my dad and his fiance Karen came to celebrate Brayden's birthday and watch him eat his 1st birthday cake and open a few gifts. We had a great time! Here are some pictures from his actual birthday!
