38 Weeks!!!

WOW! Here we are a little over 38 weeks!! I cannot believe we are so close to meeting our little girl!! The next time I blog will be to introduce Olivia Kate!!  We cannot wait to meet her!!  I am so excited but yet so nervous at the same time.

This post is going to be pretty short.  I just wanted to update one more time before she arrives! It seems so unreal that we are getting ready to have another baby but we are so excited to be bringing another sweet baby into this world.  God has truly blessed us.  Brayden has been the most wonderful, smart, caring and loving little boy and now we get to experience the life of our sweet little girl.  We cannot wait for this next chapter in our lives.

At 38 weeks, she has a firm grasp and her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.   I am so excited to meet this little girl and see what she looks like!! I cannot wait to hold her and kiss on her sweet little face! Ahhhh......I cannot believe we are so close to meeting our sweet Olivia Kate!!

Movement?   She is still pretty active at 38 weeks.  He movements are slower but she is also running out of room in there.  She still pokes me in my side and ribs all the time!!

Best Moment? We were in Walmart  getting groceries and we were in the checkout line and I was standing there with Brayden waiting for Nick to pay and this woman came up beside me and grabbed my arm.  She actually scared me to death!  She was so sweet and said " I just wanted you to know that you look adorable pregnant.  It is all in your belly!"  I told her thank you.  She said that she just had to come over and say something to me.  She was too sweet.  I am thankful for people like her that tell me those things when I am 38 week pregnant! It makes a girl feel good when I feel huge!  :)

Food Craving?  I have not been having a lot of cravings this week.  However, I feel like I am so thirsty all the time!!! I want anything COLD! I cannot get enough!

Sleep?  I am sleeping pretty good for being 38 weeks pregnant, however I toss and turn alot during the night and I have to get up quite a bit to go to the bathroom which interrupts my sleep as well.

Symptoms?  Heartburn still so emotional, horrible aches and pains, having some contractions that are painful at times, lots of those lovely sensations, and still some slight swelling in my hands and feet.

And here are my 38 week photos!

37 Weeks and Doctor Update!!!

I cannot believe that I am already 37 weeks into this pregnancy! I will be holding my little girl in no time!!  I cannot wait to meet her, hold her and love on her!! I am so excited to see what she looks like but most of all I cannot wait to see Brayden with her!!  I know he is going to just be amazed by her!!

I have been busy finishing up my to-do list and I plan on cleaning my entire house next week, that is if my body with allow me to.  I have been nesting for some time now so my house is completely organized but I just want to deep clean my house one last time before she arrives.  I have also been doing special things with Brayden before she arrives.  I am so excited about giving Brayden a little sister but a part of me will miss all our one on one time together.  I have been a stay at home mom since March of 2010 and it has been just Brayden and I together all day, everyday ever since.  I look forward to bringing Olivia into our lives and starting a whole new chapter. I cannot wait to see them love on each other, play together and interact with one another!

I had my last doctor's appointment this week before Olivia arrives.  I have an another appointment scheduled before her arrival but she said if I was doing ok I do not have to worry about coming in for that appointmen. My appointment went great.  My BP was great and I weigh 150 which is just two pounds different from my pregnancy with Brayden so I am very happy with that!  I still have some swelling but nothing to worry about.  I am measuring 35 weeks and I was almost 38 weeks at this appointment.  The doctor then went over everything that I needed to know before I arrive at the hospital.  We cannot believe that we are about to meet our baby girl!!! I hope to have one more blog update before she arrives!! We cannot wait to meet our baby girl!!!

36 Weeks and Doctor Update!!!

We are getting closer and closer!! I cannot wait!!  This week has been pretty rough emotionally and physically.  I have been so emotional and then on top of that I have been in lots of pain.  My entire body hurts all the time. It actually feels like I have worked out for DAYS!!  I hurt so bad that I have a hard time getting out of bed at times but I just keep pushing through.  This pregnancy has been the total opposite from my pregnancy with Brayden.  Thankfully, I am a stay at home mom and I can relax when I need to and get off my feet as needed and my sweet little boy lets his mommy do just that.  He is so sweet and I believe he knows when his mommy does not feel good.  He will actually tell me to sit down and ask me if I am ok.  He is the sunshine in my life and I do not know what I would do without that little boy!! If I ask him to help me with something he will do just that and he will even get my blanket for me without even asking.  He completely amazes me!! He is going to be such a big help once his little sister arrives.

This week I had a doctor's appointment.  This may be my next to last doctor's appointment before she arrives!!  Everything went great!! My blood pressure was 109/69 and I weigh 148 which is up one pound since my last visit two weeks ago. After she checked me and everything she measured me and once again I am measuring 33 weeks, going on 37 weeks.  She was still not concerned at all with the way I was measuring.  She also mentioned that the baby was very low.  This is the cause of all the pressure and LOTS of discomfort I have been having here lately.  She listened to her heartbeat and as soon as she put it on her she started kicking it like crazy. She said that her heart rate went up with movement  which is perfect.  Her heart rate started out at about 147 and went up to 155 with movement.  Just a couple more weeks and we will get to meet our baby girl!!

She is still kicking and moving around all the time.  She is active as ever! The other night Nick put his hand on my belly and barely put pressure on it and she kicked the fire out of us both! She definitely let's you know when she doesn't want you messing with her! I may just have a sassy little girl on my hands!

At the end of this week she is considered full term! Her skin is getting smooth and soft and her gums are rigid.  Her liver and kidneys are in working order and her circulation and immune system are basically good to go!

How far along?  36 weeks, 6 days

Size of Baby?  This week she is approximately the size of a honeydew, weighing anywhere between 4.2 and 5.8 pounds and 17.2-18.7 inches long!

Weight Gain/Loss?   I weighed in at 148 this week at the doctor.  One pound gained in the past two weeks.

Maternity Clothes?  Yes

Gender? IT'S A GIRL! Olivia Kate!

Movement?   Olivia is still moving all the time.  Sometimes it can be quite uncomfortable, but that is because she is running out of room in there! I love to sit back and just watch my belly move.

Food Craving?  Caramel Apples!! We have a grocery store here that has some great Caramel Apples and I just seen where this amazing chocolate shop here in town has Caramel Apples now! I will be heading there this weekend!!

What I miss?  Feeling normal.  My body does not even feel like my body anymore and the pain is very intense at times but I would not trade it for anything in the world.

Sleep?  I am still sleeping pretty good once I can get to sleep.  I have been tossing and turning a lot more this week and I am sure it will continue until she is born.

Symptoms?  I have some slight swelling in my fingers and feet but nothing major, lots of aches and pains, the lovely sensations you get closer to time, heartburn, contractions but nothing too regular, exhaustion and I have pee all the time.  I definitely did not feel all of this with my first pregnancy!

Here are my 36 week photos!

Goodbye to Summertime!

I just realized that I never posted pictures of Brayden throughout the summer and I wanted to share pictures of just some of our summer with you.  I like to keep alot of pictures and updates on my blog so I can have it made in a book on a yearly basis so that I can keep it for the years to come.

We had LOTS of fun this summer even with the miserable temperatures!! With those hot temps we spent alot of time in the water!

He is my little water bug!! He would stay and play in the water all day long if you would let him!
My sweet little boy!

Here is a picture of him when he first sat down in the water.  The water was still pretty cold and when he sat down he bounced right back up and the next picture is his reaction!
HAHA! He is so funny and his little face is priceless.

He had a blast this summer at Mammie's house playing in her pool and his new water table they got for him.  One of his favorite things to do was the spray mommy and mammie with the water.  He got the biggest kick out of it!

Taking a break from playing in the water

Brayden giving the thumbs up!! He loves the pool!!
Ready to get in the water!

We also enjoyed watching the airshow at the Shinersfest this year! He is really into planes these day so he was amazed!  He loved watching all of the different kinds of planes flying around during the Shinersfest!

Amazed at all the planes!

He would wave and say "Bye Planes" every time one would fly off.

We played outside quiet a bit even with the hot temps. He loved to ride his new Thomas Trike around the yard this year! I cannot believe how big he is! Shouldn't he still be a little baby?

We had a great summer, full of trips, memories, and lots of fun!! We will miss the summer but we are looking forward to the fall!! Bring on the cooler temps, pumpkin patches, football and falling leaves!!! Can't wait!!!
