Olivia is 5 months old!!!

Miss Olivia Kate is 5 months old!! Man time is flying by!!  She has the best little personality and is such a happy little baby!

Here is Miss Olivia at 5 months old!

I just love this little girl to pieces!!

Here is what she has been up to this past month!!

*She celebrated her 1st Valentine's Day!!

* She started on baby food and she LOVES it!! I make my own baby food and she has loved everything we have tried so far.  Her favorite by far is sweet potatoes and then I would say bananas.  She hates rice cereal unless it is mixed with something.  I cannot feed this little girl fast enough sometimes.  When she sees the bowl and spoon she starts kicking her little legs and gets so excited!

*She does not drink as much formula as a normal baby would.  She still will only take 4 ounces every 4 hours or so. Sometimes she will take it every 3 hours but she will not drink more than 3-4 ounces at a time.  She will drink what she wants and then completely stops.

*She takes about 3 naps a day, one in the morning, one around lunch time and then another short one in the evening.

*She goes to bed at 9:30 and will wake up once at night to eat and then goes right back to sleep until about 6:30-7 and then she will eat again and goes back to sleep which is nice since Brayden doesn't get up until 8-8:30 sometimes later!

*She is still wearing 3-6 month clothing and 6 month sleepers.

*She is still in size 2 diapers.

*She can roll over both ways.  She will roll over on her belly as soon as you lay her down and then she can roll back over to her back but she doesn't do it all the time.  It is sporadic.  I think she likes to be on her belly.

*We are working on sitting up.  She does a good job while I am sitting behind her or if she is propped up with the boppy pillow but it doesn't last long.

*She LOVES her toys!! She is so active, more active than Brayden was at this age.  I have a feeling she might want to get her hands on everything in sight once she is on the move, where Brayden never bothered a thing.  I think she might be the opposite because she is so nosey and has to have her little hands on any and everything.

*She has discovered her feet.  She loves to lay back and play with them and she tries to put them in her mouth.

*She is such a mommy's girl.  There are times that Nick will have her and she is crying and there is nothing he can do for her and I take her and she is perfectly fine.  She definitely is attached to me.  But what can I say, I am pretty attached to this little girl too!!

*She is teething but there is no sign of any teeth popping through just yet.  She chews on everything, her toys, burps cloths, hands, etc.

*I love her belly giggles!! They are the best!! She loves to watch her bubby and she gets tickled at him at times.  She laughed out loud at her brother for the first time on January 30!  That little laugh melts my heart!!

I guess that is all for the month!! Here are a few more pictures of my baby girl!

Valentines Day 2013

I always try and make each and every holiday special for my little ones!  This Valentine's Day we made special cookies and I let Brayden help decorate them.  He always enjoys helping mommy cook and make things and this time was no different.  He had a blast making these cookies with mommy.

Our cookies! You can tell which ones are Brayden's.  He put all the sprinkles right smack in the middle.  :)

The weekend before Valentine's Day we headed to Kentucky to visit with my mom and meet up with my dad to check out some land and meet with a builder.  While we were at my mom's Brayden and Olivia got to open up their Valentine's Day goodies from Mammie!  She always makes sure to get them some great goodies and Brayden loved it all!

Mommy and Miss Olivia opening her gifts.

The night before Valentine's Day we made Valentine's Day goodies!  We made some heart Rice Krispie treats dipped in white chocolate and sprinkles and some pretzel hugs.  Brayden was eating the M & M's faster than we could make them!

First thing the next morning I got out some paint and let Brayden have a little fun before our day got started! He had fun making heart prints with a toilet paper roll and paint! Thanks Pinterest!!

I also made Brayden his own special treat....A Cupid Float!! This was another Pinterest idea!

Brayden approved!!

After enjoying a dinner together, we let our kiddo's open the gifts we got for them for Valentine's day.

And of course I had to take some pictures of my precious babies all dressed up for Valentine's Day! :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day with the one's you LOVE!

Happy Valentine's Day!
