Baby Makes Three....

WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!!!!

Let me take you back to 03/03/2009 when we got the biggest surprise of our lives!! The best gift ever.....we found out we were EXPECTING!! I thought that this month was out. Nick had been out of town working in Kansas and I was so upset because I thought we missed our chance this month. Little did I know we had not missed it but in fact we were going to have a baby!! I was at home by myself that Tuesday night and I had been cramping a little and started to get a little depressed and I thought to myself that this cannot be our month. Well I decided to take a pregnancy test anyway. I was sitting there holding the test in my hand praying that it would be our month. I just kept praying and would not look at the test until I thought it was time. I finally looked at the test and it said "PREGNANT!" I almost dropped the test. I could not believe it and I started to cry. I immediately called Nick and of course he did not answer. So I called him back a second time. (If I call more than once he knows something is wrong.) He called me back from the floor of the plant which was very noisy and he asked "what is wrong" I just told him to call me back as soon as he could. Of course, I was still crying so he thought something must be wrong. He called me back within two minutes and I told him "WERE PREGNANT!" He couldn't believe it. He was so excited!! It was the best feeling ever!! As soon as we got off the phone I called my mom and my dad. They were thrilled!! My dad made me cry. I talked to him for a few minutes before I told him the news. I finally said, "Can you keep a secret?" He said of course. And I said "How old do you feel?" He said, "Well sometimes I feel pretty old, why?" I said, "Well do you feel old enough to be a Grandpa?" I could hear the excitement in his voice. He said, "REALLY?" Both of my parents and my step dad are so excited for us. My Mom cannot believe that her baby is having a baby! She cannot wait to find out what the baby is so she can SHOP! Nick told his mom and dad and they were thrilled as well and his mom is ready to start shopping too! :) Between us and the two of them this baby will be spoiled rotten. Anyway....I am sure you have seen the proof! I have actually taken like 9 or 10 pregnancy tests but here are the first 3! haha I also posted a picture right after I found out. I thought it would be fun to see how skinny I was in the beginning and then see how big I actually get. :) Be sure to check back often for updates. I thought that creating a blog would be a great idea to share our experience with all our our family and friends that we do not get to see as often as we would like. We love you all!
