30 Weeks!!!

Wow...30 weeks already?? This year continues to fly by.  Here we are at 30 weeks and it seems just like yesterday that we were expecting Baby #2!! Miss Olivia will be here in about 8 1/2 weeks!! I cannot believe it!! We are so ready to meet this new addition to our family!! I am so excited to see what Brayden thinks of her!! I know he will love her.  He loves babies and is so fascinated by them these days!! I went to lunch with a friend the other day and she has a little one that is almost 7 months and he was eating him up by the end of lunch!  They were both loving on each other! Melted my heart!!  Also the other day he laid his head over on my belly and I told him to tell sissy you love her and said right away, " I love you sissy."  I wanted to cry.  I cannot wait till she is here and he can love on her and tell her that face to face.  My heart may actually explode!

These days I am still feeling really well besides being totally exhausted and run down and you cannot forget about the heartburn!! I had some mild heartburn here and there when I was pregnant with Brayden but nothing like this one!! The heartburn is horrible at times!  I also have been having a few leg and foot cramps along with my hip pain.  I also feel like I have to run to the bathroom all the time, especially when she is pushing on my bladder! I have to go right away!
This week she is going through lots of changes. Her fingernails and toenails are finally finished.  Her bone marrow is completely in charge of red-blood-cell production now.  According to what I read she has not gained much weight or height this week but her brain is continuing to develop faster than ever. Her brain is taking on those characteristic grooves. I also read that she is busy making faces, hiccuping, swallowing, breathing, pedaling with her little hands and feet and even sucking her little thumb! It is so amazing. God is so good and we are so blessed to be adding another sweet baby to our family!!

I wanted to share a few things that Miss Olivia has got so far!

The wreath that will hang on our hospital door!

I love her blanket!!

And now here are my 30 week pregnancy highlights!
Pregnancy Highlights!

How far along?  30 weeks 4 days

Size of Baby?   This week she weighs as much as a large cabbage weighing in at approximately 3 pounds and is about 15 3/4 inches, head to heel.

Weight Gain/Loss?     I believe I have gained just over a pound this week!

Gender? IT'S A GIRL! Olivia Kate!

Movement?  She moves all the time!! She rolls, kick and punches and you can see each one of her movements!  I love to sit back and watch her move in my belly! It is so amazing! I will say that there are times that some of those movements are uncomfortable. She seems to love to push on my hips and get in my ribs as well and those movements are pretty painful.

Food Craving?  I have not had too many cravings here lately.  A couple of things that I have been wanting alot of here lately is chicken and veggies!!

What I miss? In all honesty, I do not really miss a thing! Even though this pregnancy has been tough on me at times I have truly enjoyed this pregnancy.

Sleep? Sleeping pretty good once I get to sleep. Sometimes I toss and turn and cannot seem to get comfortable.  Also there are times that I have heartburn so bad that it keeps me from going to sleep right away.

Symptoms? Leg and foot cramps, hip pain, heartburn, exhaustion.

29 Weeks!!!

I know that I say this every week but each week continues to fly by!! I am still feeling pretty good besides the aches and pains here and there and I am actually still sleeping really good as well although I wake up tired no matter how much sleep I get.  My nesting is in full force and I feel like I have organized everything in my house that I can organize.  I am waiting till closer to time to clean my house from top to bottom but I am itching to CLEAN!!

I think we almost have everything I together for her arrival.  I still need to get a few essentials and stock up on a few more diapers but other than that I think we are good to go!
These days she is still moving and rolling like crazy!! She is full of energy!! I love it!! That is one of my favorite parts of pregnancy.  I have also started to feel her hiccups this week! Brayden had them all the time and it looks like she is going to have them quite often as well.
This week she is a little over 15 inches long- about the length of a loaf of bread and weighs about 3 pounds. Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is growing bigger to make room for her developing brain. Her brain can now control her breathing and body temperature.  She can also cough, and her sucking abilities have been perfected! Her skin is less wrinkled as she packs on the pounds.

I also wanted to share just a few of the cute outfits that we have got for Olivia so far!

I found this on clearance and I thought this would be perfect for her next year for 4th of July.

Love these cute little jeans!

I found this little jacket on clearance and I could not pass it up.  I thought it was adorable.

And now here are my 29 week pregnancy highlights!

Pregnancy Highlights!
How far along?  29 weeks 5 days

Size of Baby? This week she is the size of a butternut squash - about 2 1/2 pounds and a little over 15 inches head to heel.

Weight Gain/Loss?   I may have gained about a 1/2 pound since weighing in at the doctor.
Maternity Clothes?  Yes. Just about everything except pajamas and some shirts.

Best Moment this week?  Like I have said before, we talk to Brayden about his baby sister all the time.  I know he does not fully understand what is getting ready to happen in his life, but he will pick up something of hers and say " This is sissy's. "  He also knows where her room is and will walk in and say "Sissy's room."  He also acknowledges my belly.   He will rub and pat my belly and kiss it.  It is the sweetest thing ever! Brings tears to my eyes every time! He is going to be the best big brother to Miss Olivia!
Gender? IT'S A GIRL! Olivia Kate!

Movement?  Olivia moves a lot!! It is so much fun to watch her move around!  There is not really a certain time she is more active because she moves all the time.  I am beginning to wonder if she ever sleeps!

Food Craving?  These days it is just food in general! Everything sounds soooo good! I also cannot get enough to drink.  I feel like I am so thirsty all the time!!

What I miss?   Just my usual self.  I have been so emotional here lately that I am getting on my own nerves!! There are times I do not know whether to laugh, scream or cry! LOL

Sleep?   Thankfully, I am still sleeping really well.  I have noticed that my energy level is slowing going back to the way it was in the beginning of the pregnancy.  By the afternoon I am so tired sometimes that I cannot hardly keep my eyes open.
Symptoms? Tired, hormonal, aches and pains and I have to pee all the time!!! Oh the wonderful joys of pregnancy! LOL I wouldn't change it for the world!

28 Weeks and Doctor Update!!!

Wow.  28 weeks already! That seems so hard to believe.  I had a doctors appointment this week.  It was just a regular check up.  Everything went great.  My blood pressure was good and weight was right on target.  She listened to Olivia's heartbeat and measured my belly and said that I was measuring 27 weeks or so.  I go back on August 8 and I get my 3rd trimester ultrasound on that day as well!! I cannot wait to see her sweet little face again!!  It was a great check up and the doctor said that everything looks good and we also now have an idea when Olivia is to arrive!!! :) We are so excited!!

She continues to grow each week and her kicks and jabs are turning more into rolls.  I love feeling her move and I love the fact that I can actually feel something poking me such as her elbow! She is definitely an active little thing! One of my favorite things to do is watch my belly move.  I can be laying on the couch watching TV and all of a sudden my whole belly will jump or move.  She also love to kick me so much that it gets my belly moving!  Nick and I were watching a movie the other night and I was laying on him and he put his hand on my belly and she was kicking him like crazy! I love it!

This week she is prepping for breathing and she is also starting to develop more fat! Her immune system is also preparing for the outside world! She can blink her eyes which now has lashes and with her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through the womb!

Here are my 28 week pregnancy highlights!

Pregnancy Highlights!
How far along?  28 weeks 6 days

Size of Baby?  This week she is the size of an eggplant and is about 2 1/4 pounds and almost 15 inches from head to heel.

Weight Gain/Loss?   I started at 115 and I am now at 140.  So I have gained a total of 25 pounds which is almost exactly what I weighed around this time with Brayden.

Maternity Clothes?  Yes

Best Moment this week?   Brayden will come and kiss and rub on my belly.  I know he is still really little but we talk to him about her so much that he acknowledges where sissy is and where her room is and he will even pick up something of hers and say "It's sissy's."

Gender? IT'S A GIRL! Olivia Kate!

Movement?  ALL THE TIME!! This little girl is so active.  I am beginning to think that she is more active than her brother was.  And boy does she hurt at times. :) I love watching my whole belly move and I also love that I can tell what body part she is poking me with at times.

Food Craving?  I am not really having a lot of cravings right now.  There are times that everything sounds good and then there are times that nothing sounds good!

What I miss? Nothing at this point

Sleep?  I am sleeping pretty good once I get to sleep.  I am finding that I am having a hard time falling asleep and then if I get woke up or have to get up to use the restroom it is hard for me to get back to sleep.

Symptoms? I am still having back in my hips, leg and back and I do not think that is going anywhere until after I have her.

Here are my 28 week photos!

Have a great weekend!!!

4th of July 2012

Since the 4th of July fell in the middle of the week we decided to get some things done around the house that needed to get done.  Nick was off work and he wanted to redo our landscaping so in the 110 degree weather he decided that he was going to get it done.  Brayden and I would go in and out but mostly hung out inside since the heat was almost unbearable.  We cooked a great meal and enjoyed the night at the riverfront watching the fireworks.  We were unable to shoot fireworks off anywhere because of the burn ban so these were the only fireworks that we were able to enjoy this year.  Brayden LOVED the fireworks!

Watching in amazement! :)

Watching the fireworks

On Saturday, we still had a get together at my moms house.  We had a great time visiting, swimming and eating a great meal! I wish that we were able to shoot off fireworks because I know that Brayden would have had a big time this year but hopefully next year we will be able to set some off.

So happy to be heading to Mammie's

Daddy getting Brayden ready to swim!!

Ready to go!

He LOVES the water!

Having fun with his water table

Spraying Pappaw Mikey.  He was having a big time!

And then he enjoyed his first time playing in the mud! Oh my!

Stomping in the muddy water

My dirty little boy! :)

He was so dirty.  He really enjoyed himself though.  That is all that matters!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!
