26 Weeks!!!

WOW! Under 100 days to go until the arrival of our daughter!! That is so exciting!!  I am sure time will fly by!! I was thinking the other day and I am so amazed that your body knows exactly how to grow this child and in 9 months the baby will come, ready or not! I am so amazed that it only takes one egg and one sperm to create this amazing human being.  Such a miracle.  If that does not make you realize how amazing God truly is, I do not know what will.

Olivia will be here in no time. She should arrive in less than 13 weeks!! Crazy! Her nursery is complete (I think) and I have washed a lot of her outfits that we have got so far.  I want to make sure that I have everything done and ready for her so I have time to make sure everything is done and I have time to relax before she makes her debut.

These days she loves to use me as a punching bag.  Her kicks are getting harder and harder and you can see my belly move with every kick.  She also loves to wake me up in the middle of night.  I guess she is uncomfortable because as soon as I move or roll over she stops.  :)

According to what I have read, this week her ears are better developed and more sensitive than before.  She is inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of her lungs.  She is also continues to put on baby fat.  Her eyes are also forming and will soon start to open!!

Here are my 26 week pregnancy highlights!

Pregnancy Highlights!
How far along?  26 weeks 5 days

Size of Baby? According to Baby Center this week the baby is the size of an English hothouse cucumber and weighs about 1 2/3 pounds and she is about 14 inches long.

Weight Gain/Loss?   I believe I have gained about a two pounds.  I weigh myself at home to kinda keep track but I never truly know until I step on those scales at the doctors office.

Maternity Clothes?  Yes.  I mainly wear all maternity clothes but I still throw in a regular shirt now and then.

Best Moment this week?  I had a hard week.  I was just emotionally and physically drained by the end of the week.  I was finally so overwhelmed with emotion that finally broke and I sat on the stairs and started crying.  My sweet little boy came up to me and said "It's okay mommy" over and over and he climbed up to me and wrapped his tiny little arms around me and laid his head on my belly.  As I sat and just cried, he looked up at me with his sweet little face and grabbed the bottom of his shirt and wiped both sides of my face with his own shirt.  Of course I started bawling! He always hates to see his mommy cry.  I am truly blessed with such a kind, tender-hearted little boy, who loves his mommy more than anything in this world.  I am so blessed to have this little boy to call my own and I thank God for him each and every day! He is going to be the best, most loving Big Brother!

Gender? IT'S A GIRL! Olivia Kate!

Movement?  YES! All the time!! She is such an active little girl! She especially loves it when mommy eats! That always gets her moving.

Food Craving?  FOOD in general! I swear I feel like I wake up hungry and go to bed hungry!

What I miss?  Honestly, nothing much at this point.

Sleep?    Surprisingly, I am still sleeping really well.  However, if I have to get up in the middle of the night or if something wakes me up I have the worst time going back to sleep.  It is killing me since I have to get up to use the bathroom during the night.

Symptoms? Pregnancy Brain!!! I swear it is horrible sometimes.  I seem to forget things constantly and that is NOT me.  I am usually OCD about everything! I will even wash my hands, dry them and walk away from the sink and have to go all the way back because I left the water running FULL BLAST!
HEARTBURN!! I swear sometimes I think that I could actually breath fire! I do not remember having heartburn this bad with Brayden.

I am still having leg pain from the vein in my leg.  There are days that are better than others but there is not a day that goes by that it doesn't give me some pain.

Here are my 26 week photos!
