Brayden is now 8 months old and it is so crazy to think about it! Seems like he should still be a tiny little baby sleeping in my arms, but these days he is a bundle of FUN (and full of energy might I add)!! This month has been full of firsts and it is so exciting!
Before I go any further...here are my little man's 8 month photos!
He is getting so big and he amazes me more and more each day! I feel like if I blink that I am going to miss something. I am so blessed to be able to stay at home and be with him all the time. I do not want to miss a thing!
Here are some things that Brayden has been up to in the past month.
*** He reaches for anyone that he wants to take him. It is the cutest thing. He has been doing this for a while, but now he reaches for anyone to take him. He is a friendly little baby.
***Brayden loves to give hugs and kisses! He hugs Nick and I all the time! The other day my mom came over and she reached out for him and he went to her and hugged her neck so tight. I think me and my mom both cried. :) It was too sweet! He is such a loving baby.
*** Brayden is getting his top two teeth. They are still in the process of completely coming through, but one of them you can completely see the other one you can just see some white of the tooth. It will not be long before it is completely in. He is taking this teething like a champ. Let's hope it continues when the other ones decide to come in.
***This past month I decided to start brushing Brayden's teeth and gums and he LOVES it.
***Brayden loves to laugh and if you start to laugh he starts to laugh. He is such a happy baby.
***He also LOVES to 'talk'. He will just sit and jabber. He seems to know what he is saying. He talks, squeals and laughs all the time. He is so much fun and I just love it!!
***Brayden still has a big appetite and loves everything we give him. I have always said "yum yum" while feeding Brayden and he has really caught on. For the past month or so he has been making the "mmm mmm" sound when he eats. It is the cutest thing.
***Brayden loves to play!! He loves to either sit in the floor and play with his toys or we will go into his playroom and play with all his toys!

***He also loves to sit at his little table and play with his blocks. I sit him in his little seat and he sits there all by himself. Of course I do not leave his side just in case he starts to fall over. Here are some pictures of Brayden playing in his play room
***Brayden can now wave bye-bye. He can also say "bye." We have been working on this and he caught the hang of it pretty quick.***Brayden also started saying "mama." Over the past couple of months, there have been several times that I thought that he was saying it, but I would not count it until I knew for sure. It is the sweetest sound in the world and it sure melts my heart.
***Brayden is so close to crawling . He has his own little way of getting around and he moves EVERYWHERE! It's cute and funny to watch. He gets where he wants to go. I really have to watch him because he wants to pull everything off my shelves that he can reach. I am in for it when he does get going!
***Even though he is not quite crawling yet, he is into everything!! I have to really watch him. I have been telling him "no-no" for a while when he grabs something he shouldn't. Well the other day I was letting him just go where he wanted and he grabbed ahold of something and I said "no-no" and he looked at me and laughed. It is so hard to tell them no after they smile or laugh...but you got to do it. :)
It is really starting to get hard to take his pictures in his crib for his monthly photos. He loves to be on the go and check everything out. Check Brayden out during our photo shoot.
***This past month Brayden made the transition to his big boy car seat. This was a sad time for me, because he is getting bigger and before long he will not be a baby anymore. He seems to really like his new car seat and he does really well in it.
***At the beginning of the month Nick and I put Brayden in his baby pool for the first time and he loved it. He loved to splash in the pool. I think he would have stayed in there all day if we would have let him.
***Brayden also went swimming for the first time at Grammie's this month. He LOVED the water and loved to float around in his little float.
***This past weekend Brayden enjoyed his first 4th of July with friends and family. We traveled to Illinois and Kentucky for all of the festivities. We all had a great time and Brayden loved the fireworks. I was a little worried that he would not like them but he never even flinched and we had some of the biggest fireworks you can get. I was surprised. I held him while I played with some of those snap pops that you throw on the ground and he thought it was so funny. Every time I would throw one on the ground and it would pop, he would laugh. I have it on video but for some reason it will not let me upload videos on this blog.

***Brayden is so active and even though he is only 8 months old, he has such a personality already! He is a real character! I am so excited to watch him grow and learn even more than he already has. I work with him a lot on things and you can see him concentrate and really watch what I am doing or saying. I really love when he discovers something new or when he creates a new sound (which he does often). I love it.

Isn't it amazing how such a little person can bring so much joy to our lives. He is like a ray of sunshine that warms my heart. I love that precious little smile and those beautiful blue eyes. So very proud of him... Love you all very much! Mom (Grammie) :)
