Nick and Amy plus TWO!: Brayden is 10 months old!!!

Is it really September already?? Is my little baby boy REALLY 10 months old!! We are in the double digit months and in two more months he will be the BIG ONE!! AHHH!! I do not even want to think about it. I almost have his birthday party planned. (Yes I am a planner). I am going all out on the balloons, decorations, and everything in between but he only turns ONE once...right?? :)

Before I go any further here is my little mans 10 month photos!

Here is what Brayden has been up to in the month of August...

***Brayden went to the doctor on August 19th. This was a GREAT visit! NO SHOTS!! Brayden has always done really well with his shots but it is always nice to just go for a checkup with no shots! :) The doctor said that he is doing great and growing perfectly. He said that he is right on track for his development. Brayden now weighs 24 lbs 10 oz and is 28 3/4 inches long!! Such a big boy! :) He gave us the go ahead to start on the 3rd foods and start giving him table foods.

***Brayden is crawling around everywhere and is into EVERYTHING! He definitely keeps me on my toes! I love it. I love that he follows me around the house, pulling at my leg saying "mama mama mama." It feels so good to be needed. :) He is such a mommy's boy right now!

***Brayden really started to pull up this month. He started out by turning himself around and pulling himself up on his bumbo. It was the cutest thing. Then he made his way to the coffee table and pulled himself right up. I am so proud.

***He can walk between the couch and the coffee table as long as he has something to hold on to. He can also walk his way around the coffee table as well. He has been able to walk while holding our hands for some time now. I cannot believe that he will be walking before we know it!

***Brayden has a Fisher Price shopping cart that plays music and teaches numbers and colors and we have really started to use this alot lately. The other day I was letting him walk with it and I would hold on to him then decided I would let go of him and pull the shopping cart forward to see if he would walk with it and he did so good! He walked all the way across the room while holding on to the little shopping cart. It was the cutest thing.

***We took Brayden to see the Anheuser Busch Clydesdales and he had a big time! He has been around a horse before at my dads and was able to touch it and he laughed and squealed at the horse so I knew he would love to go see these horses. He was AMAZED! He got so excited at one point that he was laughing and squealing so loud that I was afraid he would scare the horses. :) It was so funny! He is such a little ham!

***Brayden loves his mommy and is such a little mommy's boy right now. There are times throughout the day that he is done playing and he just wants his mommy. So we cuddle up together and watch the Backyardigans, which he LOVES right now!

***He LOVES music. There are certain commercials that come on and he will drop whatever he is doing and stare at the television. One that he especially loves is the Kleenex Back to School commercial where they are doing the "clapping game". He loves the clapping and the music in that commercial. He also really likes the Gatorade Revolution Commercial. It is so funny to watch him. He loves music and loves to dance! He is definitely my child! :)

***One of Brayden's favorite things is bath time!! I have to peel him away from the bathtub. Normally, I could put my hands out to take him and he comes right to me, but while he is the bath he completely ignores me. He would stay in there all day if I would let him.

***Brayden helped celebrate mommy's 28th birthday this month. He even got a little bite of mommy's birthday cake and he loved it!

***Brayden still really loves all the foods that we have tried so far. When we started the third foods he was not so sure about the texture of the food but we continued and now he is okay with it. We have tried several of the 3rd foods like spaghetti, turkey and rice, broccoli and carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, bananas and pears. I am sure there are more but I cannot think of them all. I also cooked him carrots and mashed potatoes and he LOVED them both especially the carrots. He also loves the Gerber cheese puffs, yogurt melts, bite sticks and the puffs. We have tried both the banana and the sweet potato puffs and he loves them both as well. I am beginning to wonder if I will ever find anything that he does not like. He is so much like me it is scary! I am not a picky eater at all unlike his daddy! :)

I was worried when I started giving him food with texture or anything he had to chew because it is a huge fear of mine that he will choke. He has done so well with it all and he chews his food really well. He also can feed him self his little Gerber puffs. I will put a few on his tray and he will pick them up one by one and put them in his mouth. He definitely does not let much hit the floor. :)

***Brayden loves to laugh and play!! He is such a happy baby and laughs all the time!!! He is such a joy to us and he knows how to brighten my day!

Well I guess that is all for this month! I will leave you will several more photos of my little cutie! I do not know what I would do without him. I often wonder what I did before him. My life must have been so boring! :) I love him to pieces and I could just eat him up. I am thankful for such a great baby! I am so blessed!
